DynaMike NLDubois 203 is the name I found for this car in René Bellu's 'Les voitures françaises des années 50'. But in 'Automobilia' #54 (janvier-février 2002) I found it listed as MD Coach (MD = Maurice Dubois). According to this magazine it has a body by Frua and the mechanics have been tuned by Nardi. 2009-03-03 16:28
pilou BE 1951 Simca 8 Sport Cabriolet (built october 1950 to september 1951 , chassis 890000-913206)).The large picture is very fuzzy , but on the thumbnail one can see the two piece windscreen that equipped the Cabriolets. As already indicated one cannot generalise one piece winshield = 1951. This applies only to the late 1951 Coupes. 2009-02-23 09:54
pilou BEFor me this is not a 1950 Simca Huit Sport Cabriolet but a late 1951 Simca Huit Sport Cabriolet. It has the grille with the three thick horizontal curved bars surmounted by a " Moustache" that was standard on the last Simca Huit Sport Series built between october 1951 and january 1952 ( cassis numbers 913542-932207).The Cabriolets of this last Huit Series still kept the two piece windshield , possibly for structural reasons , whereas the Coupes had a one piece windshield that had been introduced somewhat earlier in 1951. So , one cannot generalise and say all 1950 cars = split windscreen and later cars =one piece windscreen. One has to distinguish between Cabriolets and Coupes. The production of the Cabriolets was not pursued after january 1952 and the first Simca Neuf Sport on the Aronde platform (Coupe only) was launched in april 1952 ( fiches techniques Cheval Mécanique , 11/12 Simca 8 Sport , Simca 9 Sport). 2009-02-23 09:44

In such case you can still send me the original unresized/uncompressed pic so I can give it a try, if it did not appear blurred in the DVD it must be possible to have an unblurred capture as well.

DynaMike NLI think it is safer to presume it's a 1951+ model. Until July 1950 the front bumper had a different shape (slightly higher under the indicators. 2009-02-22 12:46

DynaMike NLI'm pretty sure the blue coupe is a Dubois 203. Some 50 of these have been built in the early 50s based on a Peugeot 203 with an engine that got a Constantin compressor.

Edit: New make ! :)

DynaMike NLNevertheless I think you were right. It really looks like the 1952 DB 750 Coach, winner of the 1952 Mille Miglia, only the front bumper and the grille seem to have been altered. If you've got the book 'Toutes les voitures françaises des années 50' (René Bellu), have a look at page 250. 2009-02-21 20:26
