Gamer ![]() | [260.50] in this case. Soviet and Russian vehicles (although this one is Hungarian ) work in a way where after the model designation there's an extra number indicating something - 0 is the base version, we don't add that. Further modifications are indicated by additional numbers. These are put in the chassis code fields while the basic name remains untouched:For example the VAZ 2106: 21061 - the version with the engine from the VAZ 2103. The export version for Canada and Scandinavia, with large bumpers, was codenamed 21061-037. 21062 - right hand drive version for export 21063 - with improved engine from the VAZ 21011, electric fan and oil pressure sensor. 21064 - right hand drive 21061. 21065 - large-scale updated version of the 2106, with high performance alternators, Solex carburetor, halogen headlights and heated rear window. A subspecies of this was the 21065-01, which had a VAZ 2103 engine. 21066 - right hand drive 21063. 21067 - fuel-injected Euro 2 version with catalytic converter, built by IZh. It would be listed as e.g. "VAZ 2106 Zhiguli [21061]" -- Last edit: 2020-05-05 20:28:00 |

dhill_cb7 ![]() | @gamer. As an admin not familiar with these, GAZ, Zil, and others can you either link other models so I can learn to input them correctly. Please. If not that is fine too. I'm just trying to learn. For instance is it GaZ, Gaz, or GAZ? Also, why do we put 21306 or what have you in the chassis field and the model name is one digit off? Totally unrelated but check out my current brochure additions sec pic is on my iphone not my ipad: Edit: still not sure how to scan these oversized Ford brochures. Still working on that. -- Last edit: 2020-05-05 20:17:49 |

I-Denev ![]() | I agree, the Senator is a great car. Yes, maybe in the 60s and the 70s Opel had some interesting high level models. Although, the next Opels have the reputation to be some "rusty workhorses" (ex. Kadett D). And I will not talk about the model line from the last 15 years, which is made only by some relatively cheap entry level cars for family use. |
2014-09-29 16:37 | ||
Lateef ![]() | It used to be, at least. Now the only car in their lineup with a fraction of prestige is the Insignia. Opel made some really classy cars back in the day, such as the Senator and the breathtaking Diplomat. |
