8ed5 ![]() | Imdb.com reveals in trivia section of this film, that despite this bike being told here that it is VeloSolex 5000, it actually is VeloSolex 3800 and an explanation for details. Don't know which is correct but here's a quotation: "Imcdb.org claims that the old man's moped which Mr. Bean attempts to hitchhike on is a 1971 VeloSolex 5000, due to it having whitewall tires. However, it is actually a VeloSolex 3800, due to it being black and having a black motor with the light placed over it. The model 5000 has a white motor, the light placed over the handlebars, and is only available in white, blue, orange, and yellow." | 2021-09-29 01:03

dsl ![]() | Yes, 82 looks OK for eg bonnet badge, black rear plate light, and 76+ rear lights with reversers. Grille has been switched and main looks as if bigger tyres than usual (or just a screen effect?). | 2020-05-14 19:35

Baube ![]() | according to them it would be a 1982 text in french but globally they say the production bought 3 of them, cut 2 and offered the intact one to Emma de Caunes ( who , still according to them didn't even had her driving license ) possible ? -- Last edit: 2020-05-14 06:52:29 |

MisterZ ![]() | I love all the oranges and yellows in this scene - so colourful. Here in Australia 99% of commercial vehicles and buses are white. | 2013-10-18 09:09
MisterZ ![]() | Can't find this particular angle of the truck in the HD movie. Probably from some deleted/extended version. The time reference is also wrong - 00:32 ? is that 32 min or 32 sec? If it's a deleted scene, then 30 sec might be accurate! -- Last edit: 2013-10-19 11:53:15 |

tonkatracker ![]() | The Wranglers sold outside of the US had plastic bumper cover with filler panels added to the bumpers to fill the gap between the bumper and the fender flare also to lengthen the bumper so that it comes out level with the flare. Compare the above picture to this US spec one: /i324146.jpg The next generation JK Wranglers had even more plastic added when in EU form: US Spec- /vehicle_342630-Jeep-Wrangler-JK-2007.html EU Spec- /vehicle_109938-Jeep-Wrangler-JK-2007.html |

rtsbusman1997 ![]() | Well, tonkatracker's comment was both truthful AND informative, so you are incorrect. I thought that the bumpers were the same size on all models. -- Last edit: 2011-10-12 23:27:55 |
2011-10-12 23:26 | ||
tonkatracker ![]() | That comment makes no sense whatsoever. I haven't defended any US bumpers and nowadays most vehicles have the same bumpers whether they are sold in the USA or not. In the case of the Jeeps however the bumpers are bigger in Europe because of laws to protect pedestrians in case they get hit. Because of this all of the added plastic on these bumpers takes away from the utilitarian look of these Jeeps IMO. Like most people I hate the bumpers that European cars got for the US market in the 70s/80s but that has no bearing on my remarks here. -- Last edit: 2011-10-12 22:55:52 |

atom ![]() | From what I understand it's the EU-spec bumpers that are the bigger ones... | 2011-10-12 22:37
| Gomselmash11 | Because i'm correct ![]() I dislike all the USA-bumpers. Okay? but you deffend the USA bumpers (ridicoulus and biggers). |
2011-10-12 22:36 | ||
tonkatracker ![]() | ^ this is the second time you have said this on a Jeep Wrangler page, are you saying that you don't like the original (US-Spec) bumpers on this particular model or are you still whining about the US changing the bumpers on cars imported from Europe? (which they no longer do) -- Last edit: 2011-10-12 22:31:20 |
