dhill_cb7 USYep. This is a Dodge. 1996-1997 SE with the Sport package or a 1998 Sport OR 1996-1997 LE with the ES package or a 1998 ES.

I really don't know why Dodge did this to confuse the heck out of us but comparing the brochures it did indeed happen in 1998.

1996: https://www.xr793.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/1996-Dodge-Caravan.pdf
1998: http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/Dodge/Dodge_US%20Full%20Line_1998.pdf

Scroll down to the end of the brochures and you will see the section where it compares the trim levels and says what items are included on which trim/package. That is where you will see the trim levels above the packages. Note in 1996-1997 the trims listed in 1998 (Sport & ES) were underneath SE & LE respectively.

Terra USIt would. I agree it's a standard Taurus. Well, mistakes happen :( 2019-05-21 04:07
Baube QCif ever there was a SHO wagon made by Ford ( not counting the C/D one ), wouldn't it have the SHO front too ?
i'm sure its just a regular Taurus with some sftermarket wheels
2019-05-21 04:06
Terra USGood point. I didn't notice that the SHO had thicker rims. Not sure what those rims indicate them. Aftermarket? 2019-05-21 04:01
Baube QCthey don't even look like SHO rims 2019-05-21 03:54
Terra USWell, five years later and it looks like this isn't an SHO wagon. From Wikipedia:
"By request of Car and Driver magazine, a SHO station wagon was created by the Car and Driver staff with the help of Ford engineers.[14] They started with a production Taurus wagon, and from there installed SHO bodywork, including its unique front end. They then replaced the stock engine and drivetrain with SHO drivetrain. Inside, the interior was replicated of that of a high spec SHO sedan, including its sport seats, steering wheel, and included most of the SHO's equipment.[14] The staff then tested it, and took it on a cross country trip. The model became nothing more than a one off special, and the Car and Driver staff as well as Ford admitted that the SHO wagon was created "just for fun", and was never meant to be a serious production vehicle."

This is probably a standard 1993 Taurus Wagon with SHO rims slapped on it.

Exiv96 BEIt really is a JDM-spec Mirage sedan (1991-95) : http://www.carsensor.net/catalog/mitsubishi/mirage_sedan/F001/M003G018/

The only generation with its own Mirage-derived body instead of being a rebadged Lancer.

MisterZ AUWhy is this listed as a Chrysler Voyager? It looks like a Dodge Caravan to me.

If it's a RHD Chrysler Voyager, then it will be 1997+. However, Chrysler Voyagers didn't usually come with body coloured bumpers, nor this bright red colour (at least not in Australia - I'm assuming NZ had the same colours), and they had clear front indicators - this one seems to have orange ones.

MisterZ AUFor one, this is a coupe, not a sedan. The sedan had completely different tail lights. Generally these were sold as Lancers in New Zealand and Australia, and 1993+ in NZ for the coupe (according to Redbook NZ). It might be a grey import JDM Mirage, but that's less common.
