jpts ![]() | This film was set during the Sierra Leone Civil War from the 23rd March 1991 to the 18th January 2002. The Sierra Leone Civil War had resulted between 50,000 and 300,000 killed with another 2.5 million displaced internally and externally. This film also highlights the issue of conflict diamonds (or blood diamonds) that were used by the rebel factions to obtain their weapons, under the UN Laws regarding the trade of conflict diamonds, any diamond dealers identified for being involved in the trade of conflict diamonds, the only punishment they face is their name taken off the accredited diamond dealers list. -- Last edit: 2021-07-17 15:34:44 |

jpts ![]() | This scene was based on the Freetown Massacre; the mass killing of civilians committed by the Revolution United Forces (or the RUF) and the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (or the ARFC) in the Sierra Leonean capital of Freetown during the Sierra Leone Civil War from the 6th to the 22nd January 1999. The Freetown Massacre was part of a joint RUF-AFRC operation codenamed "No Living Thing" and resulted in the deaths of 7,000 civilians. -- Last edit: 2020-01-14 11:49:39 |

Coventry Pete ![]() | The wheelbase is too long, and the tyres too small, for it to be a Samil 50 Mk2. The front axle confirms that it is a Samag 70 (4x2). | 2014-03-12 16:12

CARMAKER1 ![]() | The London scenes have too many anachronistic vehicles, as well as a white 2002-2005 ML-Class in the "Freetown, S.L." scenes. | 2010-04-01 04:23
CARMAKER1 ![]() | The London scenes obviously weren't carefully shot as nearly 4 vehicles in this scene were introduced years after January 2000. | 2010-04-01 04:20
CARMAKER1 ![]() | Another anachronism as this is the 2002-2005 model updated in 2001. | 2010-04-01 04:18

Citsa ![]() | I will have to check, but I doubt whether this is a "50" - the wheelbase is too long. It would rather be either a "100" or a Sakomm (the commercial version also used by the military as echelon vehicle), if I am not mistaken. | 2009-09-24 23:41
