TheJudge US2001 to 2005. The pre-2001 models had slightly different front trim and a different grill. Like this model, the face lifted models had a more bold, chrome grill. This one appears to be an LS (standard rims), and is an extended length model. 2007-12-18 10:52

Ingo DEI just must think about, where actually these ex-Daewoo-now-Chevrolets were sold in Germany. Probably at bigger Opel-dealers, who also offer the other GM-model-range (resp.the very few US-GM-cars, who were sold here). Some German Opel-dealers have also Suzuki in the programme, but his is rare. Mostly Suzuki-dealers are on their own.

In the past Daewoo hat an own dealership. But after the economic deasater of Daewoo-cars in Germany all of them were closed or have changed to annother brand.
In my former home-town Dortmund the house of the bankrupty Daewoo-dealer was empty for a plenty of years. I had the idea to steal the big illuminated "Daewoo"-logo in front of the house. But who would ever like to have a Daewoo-logo?

philr CAHere in Quebec, X cars sold quite well. The most commonly seen ones are the Buick Skylarks but all of them are getting rare now! All X cars either had the Pontiac 2.5L 4 cylinder engine or the Chevy 2.8 V6.

My favourite X body model was this early eighties Citation 4 door hatchback equipped with the same rallye wheels and trim rings as the car pictured. My uncle had one just like this one and I really liked how it looked. My aunt had a 1980 Pontiac Phoenix at the same time that she sent to the junkyard in 1988. The floors were completely rusted out, the transmission had issues and the 2.8 V6 engine suffered from blow-by. There were some serious water infiltrations due to rust out on the windshield posts on that eight years old car! The interior of her Pontiac looked nicer than the Citation's interior with it's nice instrument panel and stainless trim in the door panels. But outside, I liked the Citation much more.

Around where I live you don't see too many X-cars anymore. I see about the same amount of Citations (4-door hatchbacks... I've only seen a 2-door once), Skylarks, and Omegas. The only time I've seen a Phoenix was in a junk yard. I would guess that the Chevy was the best seller since Chevy has always been GM's best selling division.

cieraguy USWhat I meant was that after GM took Daewoo over in 2002, the US had Daewoos badged as both Suzuki's and Chevy's. I didn't mean that the 1999-2002 models (Leganza, Nubria, Lanos) were badged as anything else in the US. Sorry for the confusion. I was just adding to what Ingo was saying. 2007-09-09 19:07

pilou BE1935 Ford V8 DeLuxe Fordor Phaeton model 48.It is not a 1936 : the grille contour of the 1936 model 68 was extending smewhat more laterally behind the headlights and that would have been vixible here. The Greyhound hood mascot borrowed from Lincoln was also very popular on Fords. 2007-09-09 12:01
