pansagetrent9 ![]() | Actually, it's a Honda Ballade. I don't think Rover 214's were sold there. |

rtsbusman1997 ![]() | Upon looking at what I said (and the filming locations), I mistook this truck for another. I'd say then that it was made for Australia (to the best of my knowledge, Ford never sold these in South Africa.) -- Last edit: 2013-03-28 05:25:13 |

Gag Halfrunt ![]() | Then why did you say it had to be made for NZ? | 2013-03-27 20:45
rtsbusman1997 ![]() | I know about the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Dunno about Japan or South Africa. | 2013-03-27 20:24
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | @rtsbusman1997: The Explorer was sold in right hand drive form in the UK, and probably also in other RHD markets such as Australia, Japan, South Africa, etc. | 2013-03-27 11:04
rtsbusman1997 ![]() | Made for NZ (these were sold in NZ) | 2013-03-27 03:03

petacchi ![]() | yes, after all I think you are right | 2011-05-05 19:07
antp ![]() | it is the pickup version of Corsa C, I do not think it is so wrong to list it that way even if it is not the third pickup... | 2011-05-05 16:49
petacchi ![]() | It is based on the third generation Corsa, but as a pick-up it is only the second generation. Only the hatchback and the sedan versions had three generations. I think it is better to avoid using the Mark letters at this body type of Corsa and use the years instead for identification, similar how we do with the first generation of Renault (Clio) Symbol, where the sedan version also started from the second generation of the Clio. | 2011-05-05 10:05

mazeltough ![]() | Fiats were not sold in South Africa at the time the Regatta was produced. Any Regatta/Mistral would have been privately imported. | 2010-10-14 10:51

Neptune ![]() | Its one of those Transformers, you know the ones ... they seem to prefer GM cars (so this poor Lincoln has a snow balls chance-in-hell of being picked for cloning) | 2009-09-13 03:04

antp ![]() | There is another ZA website with "Fiat Mistral": http://www.iprops.co.za/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=202 but it may be the same source? ![]() also http://cybercapetown.com/Exoticar/european_sedans.php but again it is cars for hire ![]() As there does not seem to be other reliable source, it is probably an error as you suggest it. -- Last edit: 2009-07-09 14:48:36 |

Gag Halfrunt ![]() | The name listed by the company (now defunct/taken over) was probably wrong. IIRC they had a Ford Mondeo in their list of American cars. -- Last edit: 2009-07-09 14:16:14 |

DynaMike ![]() | Yes. were they built in ZA as well? | 2009-07-09 14:07
rjluna2 ![]() | Either made in South Africa or made for South Africa due to white retroreflector right next to the indicators. | 2009-07-09 14:06
rjluna2 ![]() | I see white retroreflector above the headlight indicates made for South Africa. | 2009-07-09 14:05
ingo ![]() | No, it's filmed in South Africa. | 2009-07-09 14:04
rjluna2 ![]() | I see repeater on the front fender. Is this European version? |
2009-07-09 14:03 | ||
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | Filmed in South Africa. The story apparently takes place in the US, Australia, India the Maldives and South Africa, and user comments on the IMDB are full of remarks about how it's impossible to figure out where each scene is set: http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0419373/usercomments All the cars seem to have Western Cape (South Africa) number plates or no plates at all. ![]() |
2009-07-09 13:55 | ||
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | Not made for South Africa, because it's left hand drive. | 2009-07-09 13:45
