zodiac SE1988+ because there isn't a black strip between the rain gutter and the rear window.
1989+ because it has big plastic wheel covers. They were introduced in 1989 when Volvo replaced the earlier stainless steel wheel covers because they changed the size of the wheels from 14" to 15" due to bigger brake saddles.

It also have black door habdels which points towards a GL rather than anything else.

It is true that MY 1990 got another front, but that change didn't take place until after the 1989 industrial holidays in July - August.

I'd say this is a 1989 (only) Volvo 740 GL.

Ingo DEIt's a 1.7 DTI, if it's a 1999-model. The CDTi was made later (and the last Astra G had the darker back lamps).

Such a 1.7 DTI is standing in front of our home. My wife feels a deep love for it.

ggj NLI just checked the licenseplate of the car on the site of RDW and I've checked the carbase on Autoweek.nl and I think this is a 1999 Opel Astra 1.7 TD. Could be the 1.7 TD GL or the 1.7 TD Club, but I don't know. The site of RDW says this car has 50 kW (68 hp), so it can't be the 1.7 DTi or 1.7 CDTi since those engines are more powerfull (55 kW and 59 kW respectively).

ggj NLThe licenseplate is pretty unclear, but you can still read JP-PG-32, which is indeed a 1994 Mitsubishi Colt 1.6 GLXi as mentioned above. :D

I doubt 1989 and GL. With this front it has to be very early 1989, because model 1989 was already with different front. And more like GLE with such chrome trimming.

ralphtheparkie ENahight has a point: from the B-pillar back they look identical in profile, but I'm convinced it's an A6 because the door flanks are more curved than the flat doors of the A4; the side shoulder sits higher on the A4 and is more pronounced and the sills are angled into the door bottoms, rather than being flatter as in the A4. 2007-03-14 13:42
