MisterZ ![]() | This model Laser was known as either KJ II or KL. This is a "Liata" hatchback. VIN returns: built: December 11, 1996, "LXi" trim, 1.6L Duratec 16V PFI (105PS), 5 Speed Manual, "White Satin" paint. Options fitted: driver's airbag, 14" alloy wheels (although in the photo, it clearly has hubcaps - I suspect that the dealers remove the alloys when these cars are new and try to sell them as accessories). The price on the window is also laughable. These Lasers cost more than 20 grand new, so after 6 years, it would be worth more like 7-8 grand, not 3! Note: still registered as of 2022. There are still over 8,000 of these KJ/KL/KM Lasers registered in Australia. Out of approx 40,000 originally sold, this means that 20% are still on the road. -- Last edit: 2022-08-22 09:42:58 |

MisterZ ![]() | Ep. 1![]() AU Utes can be identified at the rear by the clear indicators and single reverse light on the rear bumper. BA/BF utes had orange rear indicators and reverse lights on either side (in the light cluster). Main pic looks like a 2001 model based on the plate. Although it doesn't return anything, other plates in the XEV8-- series return 2001 Fords. The thumbnail is a 2002 model based on the plate (also XLS trim). -- Last edit: 2020-05-30 12:41:20 |
