dhill_cb7 US17 inch wheels seen above were not available until 2003 MY. The two trim levels to get these wheels for 2003 were NBX or XLT Sport. We can negate NBX because the molding isn't black.

Edit: /vehicle.php?id=513642 they came in a mid year refresh

G-MANN UKJust noticed this film used footage from the chase in Get Carter (the Sly Stallone remake) and the Jaguar in that was a Vanden Plas V12, although this shot isn't from that and not the same car (different licence plate), must be from a bit they shot to splice in the with the chase footage, but they might have found another Vanden Plas V12.

Link to "galleri.gudbrandsdalgatebilklubb.com" Shame on you cadillac you should not have facelifted the car to meet europe's expectations your old version looked better.

njot33 USIt's an 83 or an 84 Skylark Limited. It's a more expensive model, having the vinyl roof and wire wheel covers.
The third brake light is an aftermarket add on. These cars never came with that.

G-MANN wrote It's a really a sign of quality when a film has to steal so much footage from another film! Actually the chase I was talking about was in a different film (Y2K starring Louis Gossett Jr) and it was taken from a different part of Basic Instinct (the bit later on where Sharon Stone's female lover tries to run over Michael Douglas and, after dueling with his Mustang, ends up crashing the Esprit and getting herself killed). I guess lots of crap movies have stolen from Basic Instinct.

Yes i didnt mean this one being the one you talked about, i mentioned it months ago when we talked about these cases and wanted to show it to you.

G-MANN UKProbably because they couldn't afford to do such hairy stuntwork. 2008-01-16 18:09
carchasesfanatic ESYes yes i got your comment ;) , and yes it was stupid the chase from the movie itself is not bad i wonder why they had to steal that from Basic Instinct, it simply does not fit.

This comment was responding to Antoine by the way.

antp BESure, my comment was ironic ;) As they made a chase with that car anyway I wonder why they stole that small part from another movie :??:

I checked the different models at the Wikipedia and found that the moulding design does correspond to Plymouth Reliant. This can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymouth_Reliant what do you think?
