Sunbar wrote http://vauxpedianet.uk2sitebuilder.com/vauxhall-pc-98000---cresta-viscount (see Model History - Model Year 1966)

At the end of that section it says ZA built the Cresta from April 66, adding the Viscount in September 66 (including their unique version with Chrysler 5.2 litre V8).

Also some detail of NZ [PC] assembly from early 66 until 1971 of the Cresta Standard [PCS], along with imports from UK of Cresta Deluxe, estates, and Viscount.

Plus a useful reminder that Switzerland made Crestas and Viscounts from April and July 1966.

Sunbar UKWhen discussing engine sizes 'vauxpedianet' refers to GM South Africa assembling the Viscount PCE from CKD kits with the 5.2 litre Chrysler V8 engine its likely I think they also assembled the Cresta PC.

Ddey65 USI thought the ones in South Africa had smaller high-beams next to the regular round lights. 2017-12-13 06:15
dsl SXOk - entered as Cresta. No reference to local build found.

dsl SXAgree Cresta PC if Vauxhall, but not sure what other similar GM stuff was available in ZA - eg Holden, local Chevy?? 2017-12-12 19:42
dsl SXProbably, and an early one with rounded rear door/C-pillar. But not sure why wing front edge seems to slant backwards. 2017-12-12 19:24
electra225 ITVauxhall for me. Which one ? I suspect a Cresta PC.
