pansagetrent9 ![]() | If you look at shot as Superman brings the Daily Planet globe, it had square headlights and a front end that it could be a 1980's model. Plus the shot where Superman crushes the Volvo with the globe, the Volvo getting crushed is in CG. -- Last edit: 2019-12-01 00:48:49 |

MisterZ ![]() | Australian-spec CR-V "Sport" model (US models had the license plate on the tail-gate, whereas Australian models had a cover (as seen) with the plate below on the bumper), also US models were not available with painted/colour-coded bumpers that year, which this one has. All AU CR-Vs had [RD7] code. 2.4L 4WD was the only choice. -- Last edit: 2020-02-07 22:00:25 |

TJM ![]() | Just for the record this car is a 1966 model FHC originally sold new in the US. I imported the car into Australia in 1996 and it was subsequently converted to right hand drive. The give-away that it is a US spec car is that I did not change the wipers - if you look at the picture you will see that they park on the left hand side of the windscreen instead of the right (as they would for a UK or Australian delivered car). | 2009-03-01 11:39
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | walter's thumbnail showing the sidemarker is from the same location as the Ford Transit, which proves that the A3s used for filming in Australia were US models. /vehicle_72854-Ford-Transit-1995.html |

carchasesfanatic ![]() | By what IMDB says not everything was filmed in Australia, so perhaps the Audi in Walter's thumbnails is indeed a US spec A3 (from when they filmed in New York) but not the one in tha main picture, no? | 2009-01-05 15:06

film ![]() | The E-Type is owned by a local banker, immaculate car, he races old Jag's. The rain scene was shot with the light's off, then I got asked over the radio to run into the rain scene and turn the lights on for a second shot (I got drenched). film ![]() | This was a local Transit converted to LHD. The vehicle was originally scripted as a military Humvee but when it turned up the Director had a dummy spit (even though it was his choice) and so a van was built as a substitute and the scene was shot later. The body guy Nat made the bullet holes in a short space of time (without using a gun) :-) | 2009-01-05 11:12
film ![]() | We did import dozens of cars from the US, but also used extra RHD cars and made them look LHD with fake steering wheels. The Audi's were infact two LHD European cars flow in on 747 especially to appear in the film as they weren't released at the time. Matt Worth www.FilmVehicles.com |

film ![]() | We were asked by the Art Director to convert a number of Australian Ford Falcons/Fairmonts to LHD for use as background cars, these three ended up right in front of camera. You'll see several others as Taxi's, we only had a limited number of Ford Crown Victoria's imported from the US, so they were conserved. | 2009-01-05 11:05

Trainman ![]() | If you look closely you'll notice that the silver one in the centre is an 88+ Falcon, and the two taxi's to the right are also 88+ Falcons, with some sticker on the bonnet in the case of the lower right one. On the left are 2 Crown Vic's, most likely current models. |

marioman3138 ![]() | Yes, as I live in Australia, I have to (unfortunatley) live with these rules. the car has to be over 30 years old to be registered in LHD, or have a speical permit | 2008-06-08 01:40
