walter ![]() | Plate is from 1999 but the car is probably older, 1.9 TDI model | 2020-04-14 21:55
Gamer ![]() | This is a Golf III so it can't be 1999 unless it's a US model. What does the Spanish plate app return fro M-3452-XF? -- Last edit: 2020-04-14 21:51:03 |

blue_thunder ![]() | Are you sure it's a 2002? Unveiled in 1998, it could be a '99-'04 model. | 2011-08-18 15:22
Gag Halfrunt ![]() | This is a current Spanish plate. The old area code system was dropped in 2000 (I think). | 2011-08-18 14:38
dsl ![]() | I assume a Spanish plate - is it an unusual combination without the initial area identifier? | 2011-08-18 14:36

coopey ![]() | Link to "www.bmwusa.com" Here, in the North American BMW official site, there's a new BMW M section which has the range of present and old M models. Z3 M versions are called M Roadster/Coupé, and Z4 are Z4 M Roadster/Coupé. |
2008-06-01 16:19 | ||
coopey ![]() | I think they changed the name for the Z4, because they're officially called "Z4 M Roadster/Coupé", but the M versions of the Z3 are just "M Roadster/Coupé" -- Last edit: 2008-05-30 20:01:20 |

Tönz ![]() | I'm actually not sure, as the current models are called 'Z4 M Coupé' and 'Z4 M Roadster' on the official sites. Let's wait for another opinion. | 2008-05-30 19:47
antp ![]() | So I shall rename the other ones? | 2008-05-30 19:19
Tönz ![]() | Coopey's probably right. I own brochures from 1997 and 1998 and it's never called 'Z3 M Roadster'. The official naming seems to be: Z3 roadster 1.8 (and 1.9 and 2.8) M roadster Same with the Coupés [E36/8]: Z3 coupé 2.8 M coupé But 'coupé' and 'roadster' are always spelled in minuscules in that brochures, unlike the plate on the picture above (cf. 'touring' and 'compact'). BTW: All Z3 and Z4 are assembled in the USA (Spartanburg, S.C.) -- Last edit: 2008-05-30 19:14:13 |
2008-05-30 18:50 | ||
antp ![]() | But isn't it rather "Z3 M Roadster" the full name? (as others are listed like that) | 2008-05-30 17:43
coopey ![]() | Why change the name of the M Roadsters? they aren't "Z3 M", it's just "M Roadster", the plate shows it clearly, and it's a BMW dealer... -- Last edit: 2008-05-30 16:06:02 |

Sunbar ![]() | Another FX4 taxi... little to determine which version but probably a LTI by the black door handles and vynal roof, so a FX4 or Fairway. | 2008-05-19 12:40
Sunbar ![]() | AEC Routemaster RML I guess? Bus expert to confirm but it looks to have the small central window indicating the longer version of the Routemaster. RML fleet number (3178???) and registration number (CUV 370C???) also just visible, possible to confirm. -- Last edit: 2008-05-19 12:47:34 |
