GodzillaFan54 ![]() | Those two commercials featuring "sentient" Kas killing animals probably didn't help either. Plus, this generation of the Ka having a ugly grey plastic bumper (how any car designer could think grey plastic anything on the outside of a car looks good is beyond me) only makes it worse. | 2020-07-07 20:06
Gamer ![]() | And it was always last in the annual TÜV report. I believe it was especially due to their incredible rot on the bottom. Rule of thumb: never buy a Ka without checking the underbody first. Haven't seen one of these in ages. -- Last edit: 2020-07-07 19:21:47 |

dsl ![]() | Might be a 52 plate = 2002. Pity it was such a nasty little shit heap; 'car with very dangerous brakes' sums up my verdict after having to abandon an almost brand new rental in a Tesco car-park to be recovered back in the day. |

Gamer ![]() | That's a widespread rumor, but it is, in fact, named after Ka, the ancient Egyptian conception of vital essence that distinguished a living person from a corpse. Link to "en.wikipedia.org" Ford advertised it in Germany upon launch as 'car with soul'. -- Last edit: 2020-07-07 17:54:11 |

GodzillaFan54 ![]() | Did they call this car the Ka because when you say it in a British/English/whichever-term-you-prefer accent, it sounds like car? | 2020-07-07 17:47
GodzillaFan54 ![]() | During this shot, the camera pans and we see a second identical Figaro right next to this one. | 2020-07-07 17:45

dsl ![]() | Also something I'd not realised before until Sunbar's first composite - the profile above the windscreen - 4/44 has a high cliff edge, 6/90 and this newcomer much smoother. | 2020-05-13 13:29

johnfromstaffs ![]() | Compare the distance between the door shut and the wheel aperture. | 2020-05-13 12:10
Sunbar ![]() | Not a 6/90 but the 4/44 again I think. The rear edge of the bonnet is just visible and the 4/44's is shorter as in the movie, both the 6/90 or Df finishes at the B pillar and edge of the windscreen. The side crease is also as the 4/44 rather than the higher 6/90.![]() |

dsl ![]() | This one which has a Wolseley 4/44 and there might be a glimpse of the blue 100E alongside in the photo above. But I think jfs is right, that a 6/90 (or Ditchfinder) has now joined the growing menagerie. |
2020-05-12 21:27 | ||
johnfromstaffs ![]() | 6/90 more likely, I just like typing Ditchfinder. | 2020-05-12 19:46
johnfromstaffs ![]() | Ok, 6/90 or Ditchfinder. | 2020-05-12 19:44
Sandie ![]() | Is it not that garage in London that gets used all the time in films and TV? From memory there's a few old taxis, a Wolseley and a Ford Popular/Anglia there as well. | 2020-05-12 19:19
Sunbar ![]() | Its -edit- not a Mk.I by the windscreen with tighter corners. There are possibly roof and windscreen differences that also don't look right for MkII... (second thoughts or doubts - wishing more was visible) -- Last edit: 2020-05-12 19:42:16 |

dsl ![]() | ZA did some boyracer versions like the 3.0S and XR6, but as far as I can tell without this sort of bodykit, plus the body colour rear panel and chrome trim on door windows look an ordinary version (L or GL or local equivalent). Boot spoiler looks a bit wobbly as well. The black finish on C-pillar vents was a ZA-only feature. | 2016-06-13 13:41
