Weasel1984 ![]() | Two strips below doors in place of running boards + this style of grille = 1939 only. It is "Model 96" or the "Supercharger" - "Model 97" In 1939 adverts the 4-door sedans are described as... "Graham Four-Door Sedan", but body shape of this one looks unusual on the linked pic... |

38buicks ![]() | The photos showing the front of the car are definitely a 1938 Buick. and with the chrome around the windshield it is a Roadmaster convertible phaeton 80C. What is interesting is that the two photos of the rear of the car are a DIFFERENT CAR. 1938 Buick Roadmasters featured a fast back design not a trunk back like this. Also the hubcaps are different between the front shots and the rear. Also the trunk emblem is not a 38 trunk emblem. Also it appear in the one rear shot that headlights have moved from side panel mount to fender mounted. So it appears the two shots of the rear of the car is actually a 1939 (NINE) Buick Roadmaster 81C (81C is trunk back in 1939 and 80C has a fast back). Having not seen the moving I'm not sure if the seen is in sequence but it appears either this is a different car in a different scene or the production company did a re shoot of the scene with a different car or something similar. |

ingo ![]() | Oh, they work a bit together with my employer, but about this building I've never heard before. Maybe it's recommended to vist all architectural sights in Cologne as soon as possible. They destroy them often due stupidity. Plus the fact, that it's the German town with the highest risk to be demolished by an earthquake, if a bigger one would appear. | 2012-07-18 20:18 | ||
andrepa ![]() | in Cologne you can find the Rolandhaus built 1928 or so, with expressionistic brick ornamentic on fasade http://www.pressebox.de/pressemeldungen/compart/boxid/438239 every day when i walked by this building, i wondered, noone cares for the design, compared to sensation it would be if there stands a row of 1928 cars in front of it! -- Last edit: 2012-07-18 15:06:05 |
