electra225 wrote not a 121. Perhaps a 929, but I just think RX-5

The 929 was the piston version of the RX-4, the RX-5 was based on that platform with a more closed coupe roofline and these taillights. The piston version was the 121. Not sure what was more common where this was filmed.

Weasel1984 PLThe squared headlamps were used for the first time in 1977 (1978 model) in Super version, in 1978 also Confort trim level with such lights was added. Model name 1100 is more safe for the foreign market (especially the one with so active Peugeot).
The car on the main pic looks strange, like without grille. But with such shape of the "hole" the similar Fiat 128 Special can be rather exluded...

Could look 1981+, but we agree on 77+, and before 1980 (still has 504 written at the front)

* journalists allways call these cars Jeep, it surely was a GAZ, remember this article should be understandable for the average german reader in 1966, noone knows GAZ UAZ ZIL here etc.

karoomay wrote It could either be a Seat 127 Fura or a Nasr Super Fura, although I'm not sure when local Egyptian assembly started.

If badge of the 2nd one is really saying "Nasr" then IMO they all should be renamed to Nasr.

Edit. Anyway indicators indicate :sun: , that it can be also "127 Fura" as the oldest possible name.

Weasel1984 PLAccording to what is possible to find (not much is :P ), I think this older ones we can name "Eltramco" too. Possibly exactly it is a RA-1, but hard to confirm anything in this subject.
