MisterZ ![]() | Appears to be a grey import Hilux Surf, not a 4Runner, due to the reversing lights on either side of the rear plate. 4Runners had them within the tail-light cluster. As this movie was filmed in Queensland, this seems likely, since grey imports are more common up there. -- Last edit: 2017-10-11 02:41:37 |

MisterZ ![]() | 1999+ "GLXi" trim due to painted mirrors. This "CE II" facelift was first introduced in August 1998, but initially, GLXi models had black mirrors. There was a second "CE2" update in 1999 which made further changes. Note: the plate on this car was issued in 2001, but no longer returns anything. However, other plates in the ---GBK series return other 2001 models of other brands, so I think it's safe to assume this is also a 2001. Due to having a 1.8L engine, the code is [CK5]. The 1.5L sedans (only sold from 1996-1999 in Australia) went by the [CK2] code. Coupes used CJ2/CJ5 instead. -- Last edit: 2020-05-30 13:25:36 |
