dhill_cb7 ![]() | @jetta I am going to remove the 9C1 for now as we cannot tell the RPO codes from a GM Impala from the VIN. Compnine is a nice site where, if you pay, you can get a certain amount of VIN checks. I might pay for a month. That is the only way, at least on these Impala, to see if they are actually an authentic 9C1. |

jpts ![]() | This episode was about the armed shootout between armed robbers and murderers, William Matix and Michael Platt and the agents of the FBI Miami Branch Office that occurred in the area of Pinecrest, Florida on the morning of the 11th April 1986. Prior to the shootout, both Matix and Platt were responsible for six violent armed robberies and two murders that occurred throughout Southern Florida between the 5th October 1985 and the 19th March 1986. The shootout resulted in both Matix and Platt shot and killed, along with two FBI agents, Special Agent Jerry Dove and Special Agent Ben Grogan with five other FBI agents injured. A later investigation revealed both Matix and Platt had met while serving in the US Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky during the 1970s. Matix served in the US Marine Corps as a cook from 1969 to 1972, stationed first in Hawaii from April 1970 to March 1971 and then in Japan from April 1971 to March 1972, he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant on the 7th July 1972. On the 10th August 1973, Matix enlisted in the US Army, serving in the 101st Airborne Division Military Police Branch as an officer, before being promoted to Squad Leader and later, a Guard Supervisor for the Post Stockade and then finally a Patrol Supervisor before being honorably discharged on the 9th August 1976. Platt enlisted in the US Army on the 27th June 1972 as infantryman, before being entering to Army Airborne Ranger Training and later Air Assault School, after completing Air Assault Training, Platt was assigned to Military Police where he met Matix and later Platt's first wife, Regina Lylen in 1975. In 1979, Platt was honorably discharged. Both Matix and Platt's former wives had died in two different violent circumstances. On the 30th December 1983, Matix's first wife, former US Army Specialist, Patricia Mary Buchanich and her co-worker, Joyce McFadden were found stabbed to death in the laboratory of the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where they worked as cancer researchers. Investigation in Buchanich and McFadden's murders revealed that they were both bounded and gagged before having their throats slashed, at the time of the murders, Matix was considered as a suspect but wasn't charged due to a lack of evidence. After her death, Matix moved to Florida and married his second wife, Christy Lou Horne in May 1985 who left him two months later after Matix flew into a rage after founding out that she was pregnant. Platt's wife, Regina also met a violent end, on the 21st December 1984, Regina was found dead of shotgun wound to the mouth, her death was ruled as a suicide. -- Last edit: 2022-03-28 16:21:34 |

SeberHusky ![]() | This show is absolutely terrible with continuity in the date the crime occurred and the cars they could get ahold of for the re-enactments. Like they discuss a crime that happened in 1978 but show cars from late 80s model year, or a crime that occurred in 1980 but show a 1994+ Camaro. | 2021-03-24 04:08 | ||
