| dsl | It may well be a Lamm, but an unofficial one - possibly before the 1991 approved series of only 75 cars (all RHD and Cherry Red) - which Lamm had offered since mid-80s. The 1993 Rover-built version (300 or thereabouts made at Longbridge, developed by Karmann/Tickford) came only in Pearlescent Caribbean Blue, Pearlescent Nightfire Red or Metallic British Racing Green. Both official versions also had boy racer bodykit (as^), probably to distract attention from the huge hood. So a black car without bodykit ..... definitely 1986+ for wing indicators, 12" wheels and arch extensions. Might be a 1989 Mini 30 (a few came in black and had a side coachline, but do not seem to have been exported and had a logo at rear end of the coachline). Other idea is a 1990-ish Mini Cooper (grille looks possibly Cooper, ditto bonnet badge), but these were not black, had no coachline but did have white bonnet strips). I think - cautiously - I'll go for an unofficial Lamm on a 90 Cooper which has been repainted black and given non-standard full coachline (or even chrome strip). | 2013-10-13 20:05 | ||
