Baube a écrit i probably asked this before and don't remember but.. once delivered to a new car, the plate follows it for all the car's life ?

In Victoria, and most states, yes. If a vehicle is transferred to a different state, obviously the plate will change. Also, if a vehicle's registration lapses and it's unregistered for a period of time, and then re-registered, then it will get a new plate. So it's not uncommon to see newer plates on older vehicles. Look at the Corolla on the right - it has a newer plate on it that was issued circa 1998, the Mini next to it has a plate from 2000 as well.

Another situation where the plate will change is if the owner has a custom plate, but then decides to get rid of it and go back to a regular plate, they will be issued a new plate (though this wasn't always the case). This will usually happen when selling a car that has a custom plate, where the owner wishes to keep the plate.

MisterZ AU1987-1989, not 1990. Has the older-style see through headrests, wheel design, etc. "CSX" trim (mid-grade) due to painted bumpers and wheel design.

CSX trims came with the 2.0L EFI engine (SV21), unlike the base model which had a 1.8L.

MisterZ AUThis is a 2001+ [VU] Holden Ute in "S" trim, not a Commodore. Note the front bumper - this bumper was used on the Executive and Acclaim sedans/wagons and base model and "S" Utes. However, it's obviously not an Executive/Acclaim (or base model Ute) because it has painted mirrors. Therefore, it has to be a Ute "S". It cannot be an "S" sedan because it had a different, sportier front bumper. The VX II "Lumina" was the only sedan that had both this bumper, and painted mirrors, but this colour "Tiger" was not available on VX II, only VX.

See here:

"S" Ute: Link to "resources.carsguide.com.au"
"S" sedan: http://liveimages.redbook.com.au/carnod/car/spec/HOLD0222.jpg?aspect=Default

Incidentally, when I first saw this movie in 2002, I always assumed this was a ute, so I was surprised to see it listed as a sedan on here.

MisterZ AUThe plate PRD708 would indicate registration in 1999, although the plate does not return anything. However, other plates in the PRD7-- series return 1999 Holdens, such as:

PRD703 - 05/1999 Holden sedan
PRD702 - 05/1999 Holden wagon
PRD700 - 03/1999 Holden wagon

Also visible in this shot is a rare VS Commodore taxi (and an equally rare white Australian taxi driver).

antp BE@Davez621 > when replacing a lot of pics in one time, you can use http://ks3.antp.be/upload.php to send me a zip file (with the image named with vehicle IDs) like you previously did for a season of "24", that's probably faster for both you and me than posting them one by one.

edit: though that here there were also time-codes to be added...

MisterZ AUPossibly the same car as in this shot: /vehicle_133505-SAAB-9000-CD-1992.html ??

If so, it's a 1998 [TF] (according to the plate).

This bright red colour was called "Calypso Red" and was quite rare (it was offered from 1994-1998 on TS/TE/TF models), so I think it's likely the same vehicle.

MisterZ AU1998+ [WF] due to updated side mirror (slightly more square/less rounded in shape than the WB/WD mirrors). This colour "Claret" was introduced around 1996.
