240 gardner ![]() | As per the other ERF clip from this film, it may actually be an older ERF with a B Series cab, as Bowie's converted several in this way | 2020-02-09 23:13
240 gardner ![]() | If you look at the registration date, you can see that it can't can't possibly be a B Series - "Steerf" has been caught out by the re-cab programme undertaken by Bowie's of Altrincham, in which not only A Series, but also even an LV tractor or two were rebuilt with B Series cabs. A feature of the cab positioning on the LV chassis was that the 6LXB engine came to the back of the sleeper, and people mistook these motors for B Series with an 8LXB. Bowie's haulage operation was sold to A One Transport of Leeds, probably in the 1980s, and A One themselves are long gone | 2020-02-09 23:11

AnimatronixX ![]() | These "Mini Hearses" were often fitted with a removable deck, offered by numerous companies like Startin or Coleman Milne. And upon closer inspection I think this is the Thomas Startin removable deck. -- Last edit: 2020-04-29 22:41:27 |

Sunbar ![]() | Its a TK door. /vehicle_616261-Bedford-TK-1963.html The door's thickness and swage line is a lot higher than on the TL, (see 'B' below) The TK remained popular until end of production about 1984. |

Weasel1984 ![]() | Perhaps can be 1984, but some late, pre-facelifted version in such case... In 1984 the new and different grille (between headlights) was introduced. Seems this truck has the decorative strips below side windows used since 1982 in 3300 and 1983 in 2800. IMHO more safe option. http://www.liaznavzdy.cz/nedtrans/daf2800.php -- Last edit: 2018-06-14 19:50:05 |
