dsl ![]() | Looks like "MOTUL" sticker on rear wing between bumper and white stripe, which I think was 84 livery. | 2023-02-04 19:47
panhardinateur ![]() | Yes Dyna Z, but the year is wrong. In 1954 (until August 1955) the Dyna Z had bumpers guards mounted on both front and rear bumpers. So this Dyna is after 8/1955. The wheels hubcaps seem to be of the large model which were present on Z16 models (from 8/1958 to 9/1959), so i bet this is Dyna Z16... |

mike962 ![]() | another question, is that no 46 for sure, could be actually 16 ? very stupid that the youtube clip is gone and this pic suffered from excessive motion blue, I am not sure it's even worth keeping !! -- Last edit: 2014-01-16 18:38:17 |

dsl ![]() | No - getting nowhere. No idea now why I suggested Parnelli Jones either, but this 1967-8 Mongoose for his team came close. But not close enough as no #46 found. I think 66-68 is about the date range, maybe 65 as well. | 2014-01-16 18:32
dsl ![]() | ^ comment made at /vehicle_288083-Gilmore-Speedway-Special-1935.html , including suggested rename as 1935 Miller etc. But would be interested in other opinions before confirming any change. | 2014-01-16 18:05
antp ![]() | As Gilmore was already used for another one, I thought there was a link. Is Gilmore right for the other one listed under than make then? | 2014-01-16 17:46
dsl ![]() | Have renamed as Scorpion and removed Gilmore due to photo/text here - http://artpollard.tripod.com/1970.html - which has same car as Quick Start Scorpion the previous year. So Scorpion as make, Quick Start and then Gilmore just sponsors. | 2014-01-16 17:41

mike962 ![]() | well I chekeced more , It is NOT from Indy 500 cos simply there isn't a no 46 and the one I found clearly doesn't match this means it's from some other Indycar super speedway race in time period 1965-1970 |

Exiv96 ![]() | The TWR Jaguar XJ-S were more recent, from 1982 to 1984, and raced under Group A specs. The green with white stripe livery is from 1984, so this narrows down the possibilities. In the british rounds of the ETCC, all three Jags finished the Donington race, and only one crashed at the Silverstone event. dsl ![]() | Difficult to make this out, but the livery looks like one of the works-supported XJS Group 1 racers run by the Tom Walkinshaw team in the mid-late 1970s in the BTCC and ETCC. If so this could be a well-known crash, and the driver and race identified? -- Last edit: 2010-06-28 14:44:29 |
