rtsbusman1997 ![]() | As a side note: Depends on the model involved. Most vans use equipment that doesn't need the roof raised, some do. | 2013-12-25 01:58
ford_guy ![]() | 1975-1980 model due to the style of the name badge. | 2010-04-15 23:04
cieraguy ![]() | True, but isn't the roof usually raised as well? | 2009-10-31 14:15
jettalover ![]() | My '05 gen.5 Jetta has reduced intensity low beam headlamp DRLs. DRLs were/are a MOPAR dealer accessory part for the '94 Intrepid I used to have. -- Last edit: 2009-10-27 07:48:54 |

jettalover ![]() | Could have been modified by wheelchair acessible company. These companies typically add ground effects like this to hide the vehicle's raised height that's necessary to fit the wheelchair ramp on the van. -- Last edit: 2009-10-27 07:32:46 |

rjluna2 ![]() | I was merely adding the source of the information that I found. | 2009-10-27 02:42
tonkaTRACKER ![]() | rjluna2 I am not sure why you posted that as it is exactly what I have already said. ![]() |

rjluna2 ![]() | Here is the description of what GM has done at USA market as shown at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daytime_running_lamp#United_States . -- Last edit: 2009-10-27 02:28:35 |

rjluna2 ![]() | Oh, that was what I was looking at the Chevrolet Corsica. That is how my memory can become mud as times goes on ![]() |
2009-10-27 01:27 | ||
cieraguy ![]() | It looks like the "sporty" LX model since it has two-tone paint, ground effects and is the short wheelbase. Also, this can't be any newer than a 1993 since I don't see a passenger airbag. | 2009-10-26 22:30
tonkaTRACKER ![]() | If you have seen a 1995 Beretta with DRLs it was either aftermarket or a Canadian spec Beretta. The first American car to get DRLs as standard equipment was the 1995 Corsica, other GM cars including the Beretta followed suit in 1996. -- Last edit: 2009-10-26 18:54:28 |

tonkaTRACKER ![]() | A daytime running lamp is an automotive lighting device on the front of a roadgoing motor vehicle, installed in pairs, automatically switched on when the vehicle is moving forward, emitting light to increase the conspicuity of the vehicle during daylight conditions. as noted above it is required in Canada, a lot of cars in the US have this feature also, including all 1996 and up GM vehicles, most Late model Toyotas. Honda, Volkswagen, Volvo, Suzuki and Subaru have also added DRLs to USDM vehicles. DRLS can be reduced intensity highbeam headlamps, like on the 96-up Cavalier, reduced intensity low beam headlights, Like on the 96-up Astro, front parking lamps like on the 03-up Express, they can also be independent of other lights like 99-07 Silverados and in Canada(but not in the US) they can be your foglamps like on 91-94 Sunbird GTs. -- Last edit: 2009-10-26 05:12:29 |
2009-10-26 05:01 | ||
Neptune ![]() | Just as its name implies ... the headlamps run during the daylight (while the vehicle's engine is on) for added safety. -- Last edit: 2009-10-26 05:02:46 |

Snookie ![]() | Daytime Running Lamp? What is that and what does it do? ![]() |
2009-10-26 04:46 | ||
tonkaTRACKER ![]() | Daytime Running Lamp - required on all vehicles made or imported after January 1, 1990 in Canada Door mounted seatbelts are often thought of as unsafe (except in the US apparently) same deal with the Honda Civic/CRX certain years (89-91) had door mounted seatbelts in the US but not anywhere else. -- Last edit: 2009-10-26 04:44:00 |
2009-10-26 04:33 | ||
Snookie ![]() | Is that true? I wonder why. What is DRL by the way? |

tonkaTRACKER ![]() | ![]() This movie was set in the fictional town of Lost Junction, Missouri in the "present day". Lost Junction with a population of 652 is twice as big as the "town" that I live in. 1999-03Tracker a little to background to list: -- Last edit: 2009-10-29 08:09:55 |

tonkaTRACKER ![]() | Exactly taxiguy that's why the sedan is not pictured on that brochure. | 2009-10-25 04:29
taxiguy ![]() | The sedan was introduced for 1992, I know that for sure as I have read it elesewhere and even saw it on "Motorweek '92". | 2009-10-25 04:22
tonkaTRACKER ![]() | Here you go 1991 Ford Escort brochure showing The 3door, The GT 3door, the 5 door and the wagon. The second picture is very blurry but you can see it says "1991 Ford Escort" at the top.![]() -- Last edit: 2009-10-25 00:24:42 |
2009-10-25 00:23 | ||
tonkaTRACKER ![]() | Actually marioman3138 what it says is this: That doesn't say anything about when the wagon was released. Although it does also say: which, if true would mean that the wagon may have been introduced for the 92 model year. I will do some more research and see what I can come up with but I am not going to take Wikipedia's word on it. |
2009-10-25 00:13 | ||
taxiguy ![]() | It does not say anything about it on wiki (your link is broken marioman) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Escort_(North_America) |
2009-10-25 00:09 | ||
karoomay ![]() | Yeah... sorry about that, I thought that Escorts were only offered as a hatchback or sedan for 1991-92 models, but I guess I shouldn't have relied on Wikipedia on that, since the information on that website is not always correct. | 2009-10-25 00:07
marioman3138 ![]() | http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Escort_(North_America) According to wikipedia, they wern't realesed until 93... |
2009-10-24 23:59 | ||
tonkaTRACKER ![]() | Karoomay was mistaken on that other page. If you look at this page you will see an Escort Wagon and this episode was filmed in December of 1991 /vehicle_115613-Ford-Escort-1991.html | 2009-10-24 23:56
taxiguy ![]() | Hmmm... this is why I thought so. Maybe that is not correct. /vehicle_152158-Ford-Escort-1993.html |
2009-10-24 23:49 | ||
tonkaTRACKER ![]() | the wagon was not released in 1993, plus this one has the grille and bumper of the 91-92 | 2009-10-24 20:56
rjluna2 ![]() | Looks more likely the next generation as 1981/87 version. | 2009-10-24 20:30
CougarTim ![]() | Also a white Toyota Tacoma, a red Ford Explorer, and a white Nissan Maxima | 2009-10-24 18:32
ford_guy ![]() | The car was already identified as a 1991, which is exactly what it is ![]() |

| mister car from 971 | 1991-92. | 2009-10-24 07:51 | ||
| mister car from 971 | A Regal from the 1978-80 generation, or the '81-'87 generation because of the body style. At its left, it's a 1987 Caprice. -- Last edit: 2009-10-24 07:47:13 |
2009-10-24 07:45 | ||
| mister car from 971 | Poor Caprice! Its headlights are shattered!!! | 2009-10-24 07:40 | ||
| mister car from 971 | You bet it is fordguy! It's because of the shape of the roof, the rear fenders, and the rear lateral glasses! | 2009-10-24 07:33 | ||
| mister car from 971 | I think this movie is set in a small American town during the 1990's, since all cars are from this era and some previous ones. | 2009-10-24 07:32 | ||
| mister car from 971 | 1993-96 for the grille, since the '97 model has a different one, even if the Mazda logo was still the same. | 2009-10-24 07:23 | ||
Firebird86 ![]() | I believe its a 35, I see a Budd 1 ton front rim on it, plus it looks like a 35 on the emblem in the thumbnail. -- Last edit: 2009-10-24 05:57:43 |
2009-10-24 05:57 | ||
tonkaTRACKER ![]() | At first I thought the emblem on this truck said 25 but now i am wondering, wouldn't this be a C35 as it has dual rear wheels? | 2009-10-24 05:57
taxiguy ![]() | Wagon released in 1993. | 2009-10-24 05:25
taxiguy ![]() | But 1990 Caprices would have DRL, since it was mandated in Canada for that year. | 2009-10-24 05:23
taxiguy ![]() | 1992-95 | 2009-10-24 05:19 |
