Lateef ![]() | The plate(s) have been handed in to Biltilsynet - the Norwegian equivalent of the DMV at the time. Either the owner handed them in himself/herself, or neglected to put a year-sticker on the plate (practice abolished since 2012), resulting in the forfeiture of the plates. And no, if the police are notified about a vehicle parked on a public road without a plate, you'll get a two-week notice to relocate it before they tow it. |

dhill_cb7 ![]() | Built September 26th, 1994 (26/09/1994) build sheet dictates a 1994 MY but I believe the older Fords are bit a wonky with the MY on the build sheets. We saw this awhile back with a 1990 or 1991 MY built in October or November. Built in Saarlouis. | 2021-12-03 19:14

dsl ![]() | Staffs seems to have been a hotbed for 1932 Invicta S-Types - also RF 9470 - https://www.flickr.com/photos/misterperkin/3712948064/ , http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4012/4586540712_a28f849556.jpg | 2018-07-23 16:41
johnfromstaffs ![]() | Hang on a minute. Which way round did Staffs CC do the registrations? Was it all the RE series on motorbikes, or was it all the RF series? Not near my book and can’t remember through this drug induced haze. If all the motorbikes were RF, something’s not kosher. -- Last edit: 2018-07-23 16:31:11 |

johnfromstaffs ![]() | I wonder who in Staffordshire could afford an Invicta in 1932? Not that many, probably a Pot Bank owner. Doesn’t strike one as being an AGB Owen (he of Rubery Owen) sort of car, 3.5 litre Bentley more likely. -- Last edit: 2018-07-23 16:34:47 |

johnfromstaffs ![]() | Looks like a 1931-35 Invicta 4 1/2 litre S type to me, but working entirely from memory. Post war Invictas looked nothing like this, there is a Black Prince Byfleet dhc on the site for comparison. /vehicles.php?make=Invicta&model=Black+Prince&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on /vehicle_70075-Invicta-45-Litre-S-Type-1931.html https://www.fiskens.com/cars-for-sale/print.asp?StockID=9499 Once again, coachwork possibly by Carbodies -- Last edit: 2018-07-23 00:21:49 |

dsl ![]() | Nothing on check sites for KUV 944, a London plate, May-Sept 1949 "allocated in blocks", but car looks older to my non-expert eyes, probably pre-WW2. Maybe a classic which went to Japan long enough ago to have missed a DVLA record. |

zodiac ![]() | Depending on how many axles it has, it is called differently in Scania lingo. LB means it has two axles, of which the rear one is driven. LBS means it has three axles, of which the first of the rear one is driven. LBT means it has three axles, where both of the rear are driven. The above one seems long enough to have two rear axles, but possibly not tough enough to have two driven rear axles. Hence I believe this is a LBS. I also believe it is of the updated version (bolder SCANIA sign above the grille) which has a 1 at the end of the number combinations. There were two engine alternatives, an 11 litre stright six and a 14 litre V-8. I believe in the latter alternative because of the plowing hock mounted at the front. LBS 141? |
