carobserver ![]() | Interesting film and pics, did you found more real footage pics, like the Ford pics? | 2008-11-20 06:06
rpcm ![]() | Not easy to date this one exactly, but they were assembled in Portugal. | 2008-11-20 02:19
rpcm ![]() | Used daily until a few years ago by its male nurse owner, this 1961 Minor was a familiar sight ( the door mirror is a Durant from a Porsche ). | 2008-11-20 02:16
rpcm ![]() | It's a Fiat. They were assembled in Portugal, but I'm not sure about their first year here ( 1965 or 1966 ). This one seems to be slightly "updated" with what seems to be a 127 1st series front grille and 127 2nd series wheel centres. Some suffered this kind of treatment. -- Last edit: 2008-11-20 02:02:45 |
2008-11-20 02:00 | ||
rpcm ![]() | Palácio da Ajuda, Lisbon. It's a 600 D and this model was assembled in Portugal. | 2008-11-20 01:53
rpcm ![]() | Indeed, although the windscreen seems to be bigger, it looks an oval rear window. 1953 - since it's not possible to understand its numberplate. Period Portuguese logbooks also called it Limousine and its nickname is "Carocha". | 2008-11-20 01:49
DynaMike ![]() | Seemes to be the Authi Austin 1300, introduced in February 1971. | 2008-11-19 23:01

Ingo ![]() | So this film is about the "Pink Revolution" in Portugal 1974?. The there are more goof-cars to see. For example the Mercedes W 123 lang and the Renault 18 (on the Fiat/Seat 600-pic). P.S. @rpcm: correct locations? The scene with the Morris Minor is Lisboa, this is obviously. -- Last edit: 2008-11-19 20:02:20 |
2008-11-19 20:01 | ||
Ingo ![]() | The back window looks like from an Ovali, so 1953-57. The colour is not original for a 50ies Typ 1. | 2008-11-19 19:57
Ingo ![]() | Hard to see, but isn't is a Commodore-grille? | 2008-11-19 19:54
Ingo ![]() | Fiat or Seat? Isn't the front-trim unusual for a Fiat? | 2008-11-19 19:52
Ingo ![]() | Yes, a BS. But what version? http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%BCssing_AG |

carchasesfanatic ![]() | No, a sedan for sure ![]() |
2008-11-19 18:32 | ||
DynaMike ![]() | Technically it's more a French Ford... But indeed, since 1957 Chrysler had 15% of the Simca shares, and since 1963 they had the majority. The Vedette Chambord was new for model year 1958 (with slightly different side trim). | 2008-11-19 17:07
DynaMike ![]() | Maybe they didn't want to admit that the car is too new for 1975, when the Portuguese revolution took place... A goof ![]() |
2008-11-19 17:00 | ||
DynaMike ![]() | 1969+. It's a taxi, but I do not know if it is possible to see from this side wether it's a Diesel or not. Maybe it was audible? | 2008-11-19 16:58
58Roadmaster ![]() | Simca was marketed in US by Chrysler. I can see styling cues of the 57-58 Dodge on this car. | 2008-11-19 16:53
DynaMike ![]() | By the big white license plate and being at the border between Spain and Portugal, this will rather be the Spanish Authi. Could it be a wagon version? (the roof seems to be a bit raised) | 2008-11-19 16:01
2491tj ![]() | not an Austin...its the Italian license built version of the BMC Austin/Morris 1100. | 2008-11-19 15:50

Sunbar ![]() | Yes, facelift version rear lights, the buttress is just visible making the boot right (the light area extended up below the rear glass)... /vehicle_97625-Ford-Capri-1973.html The rear rubber-faced over-riders are right also. -- Last edit: 2008-11-19 14:52:23 |

DynaMike ![]() | Vinyl tops were available on almost every car. If not as a (original) standard accessory it was always possible to get one fixed as an aftermarket gadget. But this doesn't look like a Rekord I still think this is a Capri, the C-pillars were protruding compared to the rear window, but the black roof makes it not that easy to recognise it. Who could help? |
2008-11-19 14:21 | ||
carchasesfanatic ![]() | Indeed ![]() |
2008-11-19 14:19 | ||
DynaMike ![]() | Never trust anybody ![]() |
2008-11-19 14:12 | ||
DynaMike ![]() | I think that this car doesn't have vent windows in the front doors. That would make it a 180, built between July 1953 and March 1958 (later 180s and all 190s did have those vent windows). | 2008-11-19 12:57
carchasesfanatic ![]() | I dont know what's the point of giving that wrong information for such an important vehicle in the film honestly they could had got informed better ![]() |
2008-11-19 12:50 | ||
DynaMike ![]() | DSpécial still had the dark trumpets for the rear indicators. | 2008-11-19 12:50 |
