Gamer DEI don't think it's a 1939 LaSalle, plus, LaSalles don't have model names. 2017-12-15 11:00
Pierre ENThe Mk III introduced at the Oct 1948 London Show, though few examples on the database will date from that year.
But Rootes and their Mk and Series nos...pah! (I recently 'corrected' a MkVI Hawk to a MkIV before realising that their number sequence changed more or less with the ashtrays). Hillman went from a Mk I to a Mk VIII Minx (not to mention a, b and c variations) when, perhaps, Ford would have identified about four Mk changes, from wartime to 1955.
Nightmare. Much easier for us trainee car nerds if they had counted the earliest 1930s Minx as a Mk I and continued consecutively until the name was phased out with the 'Arrow' model in the early 1970s. BMC, Ford and Vauxhall models all easier to identify.

Lateef NOLooks like it, indeed  funny, I looked Ohta up but couldn't find this particular one.

dsl SXHappy for Karachi thumb to be Minor .... 2014-09-14 21:22
Sunbar UKNow, dare I say the thumbnail is probably a Morris Minor? ;)

Any comments or agreement?
2014-09-14 20:30
Sunbar UKFinally convinced it is an Oxford for the following details.

1) length of raised panel line under the C pillar (Minor is noticably shorter).
2) the flatter belt-line as it goes over the boot (Minor raised and more curved).
3) no evidence of raised headlamp cowl on all of the Minor 4-door models.

dsl SXI think it has the more bulging Oxford bootlid - Minor was flatter - compare /vehicle_719584-Morris-Minor.html 2014-09-14 16:05

Sorry, I intended to say September 1953..

and dsl...

Yes agreed - a close run thing. I'm struggling so see any definite detail for deciding definitely Minor or Oxford.

So 50:50 = just an overall impression its a Minor but Oxford is very possible.
2014-09-14 15:40
dsl SXI vote Oxford as well - early boot like /vehicle_435590-Morris-Oxford-MO-1949.html . But it's a fine judgement either way. 2014-09-14 12:27

Sunbar UKThe bright-trim on the cill is a sun-lit refection on the body.

Oct 1951 or later Morris Minor 4-door one piece rear bumper. MM or series II 'highlight' wings on all four door saloons.

I guess its a September 1963 Series II Deluxe with the over-riders.

130rapid PLI feel it's Morris Oxford more likely. I'm not sure but seems to have extra jewellery on sill and over side windows. 2014-09-14 09:34
zodiac SENice. This is the first one I've seen painted in Midland Maroon. 2014-09-13 15:27
Lateef NOBased on the cars appearing, this must have been shot in the mid-1950s and not released until 1960. 2014-09-13 13:22
Lateef NOVery hard to find any additional reference, but it seems to match a 1951 Toyopet SEY, specifically developed for taxi use. 2014-09-13 13:10

Commander 57 USBlurry, but appears to have 1951 style parking lamps.
Cannot distinguish side trim to get model but am sure it is not a Pacemaker which had different parking lamp bezels.
