Lateef  | The Excel and Pony are completely different cars. The Pony is a RWD hatchback based on Morris Marina components while the Excel is a FWD hatch/sedan based on Mitsubishi components. The Excel was badged as Pony in Europe because Lotus already had the rights for the nameplate. |
