Gamer DEWell, here's the reason I couldn't make heads or tails of it. Turns out the Standard Six (which this is) has a completely different radiator design from the Senior and Victory Six, as clearly illustrated in this ad:

According to my book, the 1928 models were carried over as a 29.5 (called "First Series" by Dodge) beginning in July 1928 and were added the molding running from the hood to the windscreen pillar seen here. The "true" 1929 was only introduced in January 1929:

Gamer DE1925 or 1926. 2022-09-08 17:32
Gamer DEIt is a Dodge…but I don’t blame you. The company ran ‘half-and-half’ styles from 1927-1932. From late 1927, the Dodge shape that had seen little change since 1914, was given a bold redesign. There is not much visible on the pic but I think it’s an early 1929 (straight tiebar, square logo replacing the round 28)

Gamer DE1932 Buick, I think. 2019-05-24 15:20
Gamer DEPackard, I believe, by the windscreen shape. I'm confused by the radiator as it doesn't seem to be shouldered like on Packards of this era. 2019-05-24 15:16

nzcarnerd NZI doubt that this one is a Police Flyer - as this article - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_(automobile) - says the Police Flyer has four wheel brakes - which this car clearly does not have. 2011-03-11 05:02

Skid USI can't place the emblem...I know Dodge Brothers, Hupmobile, and Whippet all had emblems similar to this one during the late '20s and early '30s, but I can't find any of their models that absolutely matches the styling of this car. 2008-12-03 08:05

pilou BE1929 Packard Standard Eight 7 passenger sedan (sixth series model 633 on the 133 inch wheelbase build august 1928 to august 1929).The fifth series Six model 533 sedan had conventional hood louvres rather than the shutters as on this one. 2008-10-17 10:43
nzcarnerd NZObviously a seven passenger model. I think it is either one of the last Sixes - 1928 series 533 or the first of the Standard Eights - 1929 series 633. 2008-10-07 09:09

nzcarnerd NZA pity they didn't shoot more of this in daylight so we could get a better look at the cars! 2008-10-06 07:16
nzcarnerd NZYep - a series 603 eight (there wasn't much choice that year!) 2008-10-06 07:12
nzcarnerd NZMaybe the same 1933 Dodge seen in another pic? 2008-10-06 07:11
nzcarnerd NZGoing from the hubcaps in the thumb pic it is a Packard - about 1928? 2008-10-06 07:09
nzcarnerd NZThe only way to tell a 1925-6 Lincoln from a 1927 is by the shape of the headlights - 1927s were more bullet shaped. A bit difficult here? 2008-10-06 07:07
nzcarnerd NZI am sure we saw this car in another movie recently. I recall there was some discussion over whether it was a Studebaker or a Nash. Hopefully this jogs somebody's memory. 2008-10-06 07:04
nzcarnerd NZBoth are 1933 Dodges. 2008-10-06 07:02
nzcarnerd NZMaybe a ca 1927 Cadillac? 2008-10-06 07:00
nzcarnerd NZMaybe a series 326 (six cylinder) tourer? 2008-10-06 06:58
nzcarnerd NZRealistically I don't think we will determine the series of this one as we can't see enough of it. 2008-10-06 06:56
nzcarnerd NZThis one is a 1934 Oldsmobile - the hood doesn't look very long so I presume it is a six cylinder Series F. 2008-10-06 06:54
nzcarnerd NZProbably a model 67. 2008-10-06 06:52
