zodiac  | According to my book "The world encyclopedia of trucks" by Peter J. Davies, Hermes House, 2002, I quote: "The Roman name was applied to a range of MAN-based trucks introduced by Autocamione Brasov in 1971." and later "The new Roman range was based on MAN/Saviem technology and, in some cases, was sold through MAN dealers. The Saviem-designed MAN cabs were locally produced under licence and RÁBA-MAN diesels were used in the early models. Later, Roman produced MAN diesels under licence." I don't know how to interprete that. Origin: Germany, France and Hungary? |

| andrepa | It is built by license of MAN since 1969, so model origin should be Germany. 215 and 256 PS Turbo engines are built by license, too But later they might have developed own models as far as payload etc. is concerned. For e.g. the Herpa model Roman is the same as MAN. |
