dhill_cb7 ![]() | Built April 1st 2001. A good example of a Toyota that does not adhere to normal MYs: https://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q?vin=JTDJW133300109308 checked VIN there. |

dhill_cb7 ![]() | Carjam only lists the year it was registered. This one is a 2004 MY by the 10th digit being a 4. Mitsubishi adheres to 10th digit MY. 2004 model: https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check-lookup/JMASNP04V4A800315 |
2020-12-16 00:29 | ||
dhill_cb7 ![]() | Indeed. This one is actually a 2000 MY. The 10th digit is a Y -> 2000. Vehicle is written off so most likely scrapped. Built October 1st 1999. https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check-lookup/MMBJNK760YD032186 |

dhill_cb7 ![]() | Indeed eviv96. Imported from Singapore in 2000. I believe, if we research, we can decipher the chassis number to possibly ID more information. The arbitrary NZ assigned VINs do not seem to hold crucial details we need. Edit: JON84EF060408 J - Jeep 0 - 1980 N - 4 speed 84 - CJ-6 E - 4150 lbs. F - ? Motor should be here but F is not listed in the decoder I have. 060408 - sequential number. Link to "www.quadratec.com" -- Last edit: 2020-12-16 00:22:05 |
2020-12-16 00:14 | ||
dhill_cb7 ![]() | By the VIN this is actually a 2010 MY. A = 2010. |

dhill_cb7 ![]() | So does Europe. Seems Japan, Canada, US, and possibly more had the license plate on the bumper. -- Last edit: 2020-12-16 00:07:38 |

MisterZ ![]() | In Australia (where sold as the Express) these vans continued to be sold until 2013 - an incredible 27 years. They were only available in white, though, unlike NZ which had more colour choices, as seen here. -- Last edit: 2015-09-20 12:37:12 |

Gamer ![]() | I would put this back to unknown - we're still not sure what this thing is called in New Zealand. | 2015-09-12 07:30

MisterZ ![]() | VIN returns: built: January 23, 1997, Cologne V6 4.0 EFI (SOHC), 5R44E/5R55E - 5 Speed Auto Trans, "Dark Lapis" paint. Note: not made for NZ, but Japan. Australian and NZ models had the license plate housing on the tailgate, not below on the bumper. -- Last edit: 2015-09-03 22:23:58 |

Gag Halfrunt ![]() | According to Wikipedia, the third-generation Delica (the L-300) was still made in Japan until 2007: Link to "en.wikipedia.org" CMC in Taiwan still makes it, so perhaps that's where the New Zealand models come from now: http://www.cmc-motor.com/products/delica/ -- Last edit: 2012-05-12 20:47:44 |

garco ![]() | This is the only shot. I only uploaded it because of the 4 wheel drive. (rare?) | 2012-05-12 20:25

garco ![]() | thanks! I was hesitating questioning a New Zealand-member about this, but everything is clear now ![]() |

garco ![]() | Really? | 2012-05-12 20:22
nzcarnerd ![]() | Yes Gag you are right. The even-odder looking 4 door sedan is a Platz. | 2012-05-12 03:49
nzcarnerd ![]() | Without seeing the plate it is hard to tell of this is a NZ new model or an import. | 2012-05-12 03:48
nzcarnerd ![]() | As far as I know this model Mitsubishi is built in Thailand. This ferry boat is at Opua in the Bay of Islands in the far north of NZ - it saves a long drive around the bay between Russell and Paihia. Plenty of references on google. -- Last edit: 2012-05-12 22:47:26 |

nzcarnerd ![]() | Carjam tells us it is a 1980 model but I don't know date of first registration to know which market it was built for.. | 2012-05-12 03:43
nzcarnerd ![]() | I am not registered for carjam but maybe a search will reveal its first date of registration which woudl prove whether or not it was built for NZ or Japan. | 2012-05-12 03:41

Gag Halfrunt ![]() | If it's a used import from Japan, it's a Vitz, not a Yaris. Link to "en.wikipedia.org" |
2012-05-12 01:45 | ||
nzcarnerd ![]() | Possibly one of the many Chinese models being sold here. | 2012-05-12 01:42
nzcarnerd ![]() | This could also be an import. This model was sold here new as an Echo but there are also import Yaris around as well. The plate would suggest registration around 2002. The lack of badges leads me to think it might be an import. | 2012-05-12 01:42
nzcarnerd ![]() | Probably another import, even though this model was sold here new. The plate would suggest first registration here in about 2006-7. | 2012-05-12 01:40
nzcarnerd ![]() | The registration plate suggests this one was registered here in about 1998 or 1999. It may be an import from Japan. | 2012-05-12 01:37
jettalover ![]() | Looks to have external wiper motors in the thumb. | 2012-05-11 03:36 |
