carcrasher88 a écrit Nissan [J32], model name depends on where this was filmed.

If it's actually Japan, then Teana (locally built).

If New Zealand standing in for Japan, then Maxima (built in Thailand).

Not a New Zealand sold Maxima as all trim specs had black interiors.

mannofnope PHConsidering the exposure of the bad guy’s back zipper, this clearly determines that it’s just all coincidental and that one guy was pretending to act like he’s from the primal period. And, that hood could be replaceable. 2018-10-11 12:41

Gag Halfrunt UKThe Power Rangers shows use actipn footage from Japanese Super Sentai series. In this case it would be "Kaizoku sentai Gôkaijâ":
Citation The second season, tentatively titled Super Megaforce, incorporated elements from Kaizoku sentai Gôkaijâ (2011). That makes Megaforce the first hybrid adaptation since Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993) that was spawned from three different Super Sentai series.

By the way, used cars exported from Japan are always de-registered before they leave the country.

I agree that it has JLX on the tailgate, bottom right, would make it a New Zealand new Vitara.

MisterZ a écrit It could be a Nissan Maxima also. It seems that the grey import Teanas are more common in NZ, but there's no way of ruling it out being a NZ new Maxima.

All J31 Maximas sold new in New Zealand had alloys, including the base model Si. Im with it being an import Teana also.

After the import-laws were cancelled (the Kiwis here will know the year), NZ was flodded with used import cars. In such an extreme way, that the local car-assembly-lines (Toyota, Ford, Holden Chrysler) collapsed.

Used imports from Japan started around 1986/87, as a Government scheme to get us kiwis driving newer safer vehicles, which kind of backfired, as the average age of a vehicle on NZ roads is still around 13 years old or so. The NZ assembly plants didnt close until the late 90's. Upon saying that, if it wasnt for Japanese imports we would all still be driving Hillman Hunters and Ford Zephyrs....lol

Gamer a écrit Interesting  Wiki says that NZ did not get the wagon version; this fact was heavily criticized.

But from 1984 on, they were imported and locally assembled.

New Zealand had the Sierra wagon as the replacement for the Cortina wagon in the early 80's, as there was no replacement wagon in the Telstar range which replaced the Cortina Sedan. Sierra sedans were sold new here from around 1988 through to about 1994 or so when both the wagon and sedan were discontinued.
