130rapid PLActually it's 4-door sedan with short bootlid.
5-door hatchback was introduced July 1976 (1977 MY).

Weasel1984 PLMain one looks convincing for 1972+.
2nd one is strange like for French location/French made car, as it IMHO has pre-1968 bumper. Maybe it was repaired with newer hood and grille of facelifted version...

929V6 NLThe 204 and 304 Break are the hardest ones to tell apart, at the rear side. 304 and 504 at the front are very easy when you know where to look at. 2016-09-26 20:59
Gamer DEI have more trouble with 304 and 504...
304 is the smaller, rarer, more unpopular and uncommon version, that's my thumb rule.

cl82 DEOk, thanks a lot. These two are a nightmare to tell apart, at least for me. 2016-09-26 19:49

dsl SXTail-lights not clear enough to be definite for 8. But smoother tailgate and clear black surround on rear side window also make me go for 8. However happy to be outvoted if others disagree. 2016-09-23 19:56
LTD-Driver DEthanks for information!

But you`re sure, that this one on picture is an 8 and not 6?
I have googled both models and for me it looks more like an Ami 6 by the taillights
But I`m no expert or enthusiast for these cars....

dsl SXI think this is Ami 8.
LTD-Driver wrote Were these cars sold by Citroen in the US? I can`t imagine.

Only the predecessor Ami 6 saloon
DynaMike wrote ..... circa 300 AMI 6 sold in the USA ... introduced in May 1962 and sold AFAIK, only during 1962 and 1963. The US version had different bumpers, all red taillights, different license plate lights and opening button for the trunk, quad headlights, different (round) front turn indicators and a different grille.
