dhill_cb7 USFilmed in Canada & New York city; which this clearly is not. Canadian DRLs from my research all appear in the highbeam location on these Ford's and some other vehicles.

Baube QCa part of it was filmed in NYC. if its that part, DRL would make it ' made for CDN '

some manufacturers do sell cars in US with DRL but the first one was GM with the Corsica ( i suppose Beretta too ) in 1995, followed by the rest of the line-up for 1996

CougarTim US1989-1999 is a very broad range. It is possible to narrow it down better. We can rule out 1996-1999 because it has no rear passenger side door.

Baube QCwow...we should call Toyota and ask them then...is the Sienna base model ? could be the explanation if so. wonder if they talk about it in the Toyota brochures... 2015-06-29 03:55
rjluna2 USWhat's even stranger than that, Baube. My parent's 2000 Toyota Avalon has DRL while the 2005 Toyota Sienna doesn't  2015-06-28 22:31

Baube QCi really don't know. i know that GM vehicles have DRL on your side of the border. According to wikipedia, Saab, Volvo, VW, Suzuki and Subaru had being offering them since the 90's. Toyota ( optionnal on some cars), Lexus too in the recent years and Honda from 2006. i don't know if the location of the assembly has a role to play in this but since they are mandatory in Canada, the assembly plant already have those pieces so it would be a logical explanation 2015-06-28 07:52
rjluna2 USWow, Baube  I just have a thought of here about those DRL fitment that could be possibly of Canadian assembled that I have seen at my local traffic? I have seen some Ford E-Series that have DRL and some don't that are roaming around my local traffic area. I am thinking that these DRL differential only applies to Ford vehicles [:spamafote]
