night cub USJust looked at this movie on YouTube, this van is the one seen at the end and has the 1984+ side swing doors. There is another van used earlier in the movie that is not listed, a blue GMC with windows. 2020-07-12 23:50
130rapid PLI'd say Super Beetle, indeed.

elmer MH@ dhill_cb7:
Really blurry picture... It apparently doesn't have the 1985 blue oval on top of the grille, so I'd say a 1970-84 model. To be confirmed for the first years, as for now all brochure excerpts I found don't show this aluminum grille until 1973, and it's promoted later as part of the "Owner Operator" package. Was it an undocumented option for the 1970-72 models, or only a 1973+ option?

dhill_cb7 US@Terra add this to your list. This movie has horrible images and dire need for additional thumbs/upgraded mains. Possible merged vehicles too.

Edit: can't type.

tore-40 NOIsn't this a 1973 VW Sedan, made for US/Canada? Elephant lamps, US/Canada spec indicators, not the 1974 bumper.
But even a Super Beetle is possible, the windscreen area is very dark

ingo DEI don't think so, somewhere here somebody said, that the 1978+ Mexico-Beetle wasn't sold in Northern America. AFAIK it was sold until 1985 only in West Germany and a few other European countries. 2014-08-30 13:00
Gamer DEElephant feet, new bodystyle and chrome bumpers...

Could this be approximately from the mid 80s?

you can have it to 1080 HD but if the source is some shitty VHS is rather useless...

EDIT: or maybe a Mazda 626? [:kiki]
