Jacovanzyl74 ZAFiat 134"R" it seems, but only called Fiat 124 in our market.

Since I am from South Africa, this pictured peaked interest as I picked it up as a Lada Wagon in other markets which was not sold in South Africa during that period, but rather Fiat was sold here.

The pictures still do not entirely match up since the wagon typically had 4 doors. It seems the car was modified to a pickup style vehicle with permanent canopy maybe?

Sunbar UKNot certain, but I can only find that small mounting for the door mirror on a 1973 van plus a 1972-3 brochure but in silver, later black mirrors (approximately 1976 or later) had the same larger mounting system for the arm. It may have been a temporary design change at the time? 2022-05-03 12:49

dsl SXZA Clubman range started in August 71, and like UK this grille means normal saloon (and Estate) until black grille facelift arrived in Aug 77 (as happened in UK in May 76); both ZA saloon and Estate always had 1098cc (unlike UK which was 998cc until Oct 75). The saloon received this double pinstripe around July 75 (or perhaps slightly earlier); the wide arches in photo are boyracer additions, and look a bit silly with normal wheels. 2022-04-30 04:26
dsl SXYes - March 76 onwards for rear pillar logo. I think Inca yellow - usually a Triumph colour - came in May 78 for the MGB, 2022-04-30 01:27
dsl SXAll markets got headrests in 76, and I think it has 77+ silver "MGB" sill tapes which made it go much faster. 2022-04-30 00:55

dsl SXWolseley ADO16. Local name was 11/55 - basically 1098cc with uprated carb. ZA never built any Wolseley 1300 - instead they dropped the 11/55 in 1971 and launched the Austin Apache instead (long boot and bonnet also adopted for the 72+ Authi Victoria in Spain). 2022-04-29 16:12
dsl SXYes - Mk1 Coupe. ZA was the only Coupe assembly plant outside Germany (and Belgium?), starting with the non-Ghia grille (which was never made/sold in RHD anywhere else), very early ZA coupes had curving slightly coke-bottle belt line similar to early Ford Germany, then straightened as here, probably 75-ish. Some had 5-litre V8 (as Ford ZA-approved conversion by Basil Green Motors), but unclear if this is a V8. ZA V8 info here. 2022-04-29 15:54
