| Sandie | Not a Dormobile body as first thought... The Dormobile parcel vans had a one-piece windscreen and no windows at the side between the windscreen and door. This seems closer to the Hawson body usually fitted to Bedfords (cf: http://www.bedfordcf.co.uk/br/br40_p6.jpg ) but even then there are still differences (the shape of the front quarter windows, the shape of the rear wheel arches and the location of the waistline on the side. Mr Chipsticks  | Most likley a Rover 820e, small wheels, no rear headrests. Was a bit shocked when I saw the C-plate on it, C-plated 800s were strictly pre-production cars. I guess this acually a D or E plate. Wouldn't mind a Mk1 800 in this colour. |

Since you can only see the front panels clearly, and they are directly from the Standard Steel Saloon, and I am not familiar with the car, it is difficult to speculate upon who constructed the rest of the coachwork. All it means is that at some point this Bentley is or was registered as green - maybe when it was first made, or perhaps had a repaint in the nearly 30 years since the ep. Old things often get repainted during a restoration - look how many cars change colour during classic rescue TV shows. And people often just don't tell the DVLA that there's been a colour change (or an engine change or whatever else they may have done). | 2015-06-19 02:28 | ||
