Gamer DEIndeed it surprises me. Looking on the site it seems people often confuse a 36 Chevy and a 36 Chrysler: 2021-03-09 09:33
Lateef NOThis is probably going to surprise you, but when he opens the door you can clearly see the door crease of a 37/38 Chevrolet Master. The shape of the door window frame and position of the hinges for the rear door also support this. 2021-03-09 09:31

Gamer DENaturally, from my link of course, from the film it's impossible. I can't 100% confirm that this is the same Bug, but considering how few there must have been, I think this could be it.

Of course the plates don't match, it's supposed to be in America.

tore-40 NOI can't even see the wipers while you can decipher the plate.... The plates don't seem to match.

Your linked photo could match a 1965, main seems to have an older windscreen

Gamer DEFunny, the plate comes back as a 1965. 2021-02-28 21:50

Gamer DEThere are actually TWO Beetles in this series - a red one (I think the first link) which would get two stars, and this one.

In better quality: (4:56:41: https://ok.ru/video/2908242119319 ) we can see it is a pre-1967 model with post-1967 indicators.

EDIT: Despite being filmed in Lithuania, I have a strong suspicion it's this one: https://a.d-cd.net/d42afa5s-960.jpg

Color is very similar, and it has bumper horns. tore-40?

Gamer DELink to "parnu.postimees.ee"
The irony is, the line below the Estonian custom says "Car spheres know Jaan Tuulik above all as a top restorer" - apparently this was a one-off project where he decided to make something custom.

Couldn't find any Humbers from Lithuania (produced by the Lithuanian studio) or Latvia, but it seems there was one in Estonia:
https://www.auto24.ee/used/982794 former vehicle of the British embassy to the USSR, in Estonia since 1989, never driven since.

However, it was also auctioned on osta.ee and had Latvian documents, which does make it a bit more likely:
https://www.osta.ee/humber-super-snipe-1963-108643100.html
2021-02-28 11:26
dsl SXMain is not an Imperial - has earlier cabin with curvy pillars - agree Super Snipe Series IV. The linked platesmania example is another S4 for rear pillars, but has weird front sidelights. I'll move quickly on from the two customs ..... How many "superstars" has Finland had?? 2021-02-27 20:49
Gamer DEI would hazard a guess there were not a lot of Humbers in the USSR so it's most probably this one:
http://img03.platesmania.com/190501/o/12797745.jpg
http://img03.platesmania.com/190501/o/12797738.jpg

It's listed as an Imperial, but platesmania frequently makes mistakes for older cars. Or is it one?

EDIT: I see the main one is RHD and the link is LHD.

Or would you, perhaps, like a Humber Hawk as you never (hoped you) saw it before? :sun:
https://auto.ria.com/auto_humber_hawk_21743673.html

Or let's go even deeper: 1950 Humber Hawk from Estonia, with parts from BMW 5, Camaro, Mazda 6 and others :O
https://www.auto24.ee/uudised/uudised.php?uid=60277
Apparently it came from a Finnish junkyard and formely belonged to a "Finnish superstar"...

Junkman UKHitler was an avid motorist and keen driver long before he ran for any political office. There are countless photos showing him at the wheel of several supercharged Mercedes sports cars he owned in the early Twenties. Hence it is certain that he had a driving license and everything else is urban legend.

BTT

The car in question is not a Horch, it's a 1937 Audi Front 225 Spezial Cabriolet

lmmn8r CAIt's not the lights, it's the grill they done something to. It's a 73 or 74 Ford LTD. They were very nice cars. All big motor smallest was the 351C right up to the 429CJ. I still miss mine. Had a 74, 2 dr, 400 4 brl, fully loaded, awesome ride. 2010-07-26 07:04
ingo DEThe question is, if it will be done. There are so many specific Japanese cars, made only for the local market, on Russian roads, where you cannot get LHD-lamps for. And I've never heard or read aything about a LHD-lamp-import-mafia (nearly all car-import-export-dealers are mafia-crooks, worldwide), so I guess, they will keep teir Japanese lamps until the end. 2010-07-19 11:04
