Weasel1984 PLSo this one was built by TOS in Poznań with help of PZNS and cooperative "Samochód" (acc. to book "Samochód osobowo-terenowy Tarpan" by S. Drążkiewicz, but seems TOS/Poznań had the leading role here.

Weasel1984 PLThis is one of the two 1972 RD/Warta II prototypes or alredy the late 1972 "Tarpan" (not yet 233) from the so called information series of 25 made cars.
If prototype RD/Warta II, then it is in "Nr 1", "standard" version (Nr 2 had eg. canvas doors).

Weasel1984 PLCuriosity - in book "Samochody i rajdy w II RP" (T.H. Jakubowski), a little on the margin of its main theme (this is important), is information that in 2nd half of 1930s Lancias were assembled in Warsaw by company Krzeczkowski i Ska (in buildings, in which earlier were made Citroens)...
For sure Krzeczkowski i Ska was back then Lancia dealer.

Interesting in this 1971 newsreel narrator says, that Dacia produces 3 types of vehicles - this one (the 1100), 500 and 1300. 500?! He was wrong or there was some prototype long before the 1980's 500? ;)

Weasel1984 PLTrue, the tank and its side walls are very similar. I was thinking also about unfinished vehicle, without installed housing/side panels(?) yet. But in Vistula the top looks like a one piece with very rounded sides, so IMHO in factory they had to place these part first and then tank on it... Also there is some number at the back, so perhaps it is already the final look of this vehicle.

One of Vistula's late 1950s prototypes.
Another picture of version linked in my previus post. Less rounded top edges, but still different than in wanted harvester.
2015-10-26 18:15
mike962 DEmaybe the one in main could be an early prototype/ pre production model ?

that small fuel tank on top is very distinct , identical to Vistulas and haven't seen it on other machines like soviet ones
2015-10-26 17:53
Weasel1984 PLVistulas were made till the beginning of 1970s by the Polish FMŻ (which since 1990s belongs to New Holland and makes combines under NH brand).

I checked again multiple pics of Vistulas and they always have this characteristic rounded back (visible also on your thumb) and it looks that it was not detachable in such way to look like on the main pic. Two other, but maybe less improtant, differences are lack of this tank on the left side and position of boarding ladder.
Some exception is this picture: http://www.retrotraktor.pl/artykuly/vistula/kzb3a.jpg but it is still different...

tw2003 DEGreat source for the ERA cars. http://leonardasf1.narod.ru/F1_Challenge/Cars/ERA.html
So Cuth Harrison drove the ERA R8B/C which has been rebodied by then and gave it a non ERA look (Link to "dc734.4shared.com")
If he put a Riley engine in or not who knows.
So I would leave it with ERA B-type Special
