Export to the US started in 1959 and I'd guess the first Amazon would have found it's way to Japan in about the same time. Last years for the tires with the 2-¼" WW was 1963, it was an option this year. The name Amazon was not used outside Scandinavia, instead they used the names 121 and 122 S. The US only got the 122 S since the 121 was thought to not have enough power for that market, I think most cars for export was 122 S. I'm not sure about the colour, it could be: 19 Svart (black) 1957-1970 31 or 35 Midnattsblå (midnight blue) 1961 only 80 Grafitgrå (graphite gray) 1963-1966. With this in mind I would call it a 1959-1963 122 S Made for: J. |

DidierF ![]() | ![]() Un film de Toshio Masuda (Sabita naifu, Akai hankachi entre autres), sur lequel il y aurait beaucoup à dire. D'abord que ça semble souvent un démarquage de À bout de souffle sept ans plus tard, soit par l'histoire en partie, soit par les scènes et le jeu, soit les deux (ou trois). Et pourtant, un reviewer de IMDb m'apprend que c'est un remake d'un film de Masuda fait en 58 (en l'espèce, Akai hatoba qui serait lui-même un remake de Pépé le Moko !). Il faudra voir ça pour tirer l'affaire au clair. En tout cas, si Masuda plagie ou pastiche Godard (en soignant le cadre et l'image, et sans jump cuts, toutefois), ![]() … l'acteur principal, Tetsuya Watari, ![]() lui, s'inspire visiblement moins de Belmondo — sauf à la fin — que de Paul Newman dans l'affligeant Harper de Jack Smight sorti l'année précédente. Bref, une histoire de malfrat (tueur à gages, tout de même), qui tombe amoureux d'une femme qui n'est pas du milieu et qui le trahit. Oui, oui, toute ressemblance avec Michel Poiccard et Pa-tri-cia n'est peut-être pas fortuite. Quelques moments "hips", mais tout de même, un exercice de faiseur, à mes yeux. Ruriko Asaoka, une actrice que Masuda aime beaucoup, visiblement, ![]() est bien belle et bien filmée, et j'apprends que dans un bref mais remarquable rôle de tueur, ![]() … c'est Jô Shishido qui s'y colle, un acteur-fétiche des productions Nikkatsu et spécialement de leur réalisateur vedette, Seijun Suzuki. Il me reste donc beaucoup à apprendre sur le cinéma japonais. Tant mieux. The movie itself, well… Mainly an exercice de style, rather shallow and hip.
