DidierF FR[227DL75] is a late 1954 registration. Since the next change in the Type H came only on june 55 (a question of three-2 on the left, one on the righ-lights on the rear, should we make this one a 1954, or make it a basic 1948? Well… my effort claims reward: 1954.

… Anyway, no reason to keep it '1950'.

Thanks for pointing the obvious, but we were waiting for some info about the fact that it is a bus make :p (or if it is a model name, or body maker name, or just something unrelated)

bref FRBreak 203 are looking like a hearse for me, this woody version looks much more desirable.

A good indication for car hunter, a Mignot & Billebault was in Auxerre area in the mid 50's :D

pilou BEThe documents I have seen point to a 1934 Renault Vivasport as stated by Bref 2010-05-03 14:48
sixcyl FRI'm afraid there's a mistake on the picture. The car shown on this site is a Monaquatre Cabriolet Type YN3 or a Primaquatre Type KZ18 , not a Celtaquatre which didn't exist as Cabriolet or Coach Décapotable with this bonnet (1934-35) 2010-05-02 23:50
sixcyl FRI agree with Mignot&Billebault work. It fits well with this coach-builder of the late 40'S who made most of its conversions on high/medium series vehicles as Ford or Hotchkiss..and probably Peugeot too. 2010-05-02 23:42
DynaMike NLVery nice indeed. Yes, it seems to be based on teh 203 sedan, also by the wheel base. Probably a 1949 model, because there won't have been a market for expensive coachbuilt woodies when Peugeot could deliver its own Familale version. Mignot & Billebault was the most famous woody builder in France.

Btw, nice picture of Auxerre (Yonne) with the Benedict abbey of Saint-Germain. We were there last year:

DynaMike NLBy the longer bumper ends it's a 1952 (only) model. Portholes à la Buick by Robri. 2010-05-02 23:09
DynaMike NLBy the shiny (aluminium) strip above the windscreen it's a 1951+ model. 2010-05-02 23:06
DynaMike NLI'm sure I've read something about Atlas buses, but I can't remember where... Atlas is the (French) coachbuilder and I think they usually built on Citroën chassis. 2010-05-02 23:02
chris40 UKAccording to http://www.renaultoloog.nl/autos-english.htm (you have to scroll down a fair way) this resembles a Celtaquatre more than a Vivasport - check out the side of the bonnet/hood. I'm not saying you're wrong, but you can see why I suggested Celtaquatre. 2010-05-02 21:47

bref FRReally nice and interesting, seems to be a station wagon base on the sedan (by the rear wing). Nice find :king: 2010-05-02 20:55
sixcyl FRThe problem is that there is no Coach Décapotable in the Celtaquatre range (only a coupé in 1935) and anyway the grill and bumper do not match. Neither with the Monaquatre or later Primaquatre :/ 2010-05-02 20:34
