Z2 ![]() | "Ateva" trim due to the wheels. Plate returns nothing, but difficult to deduce the year from the plate, as most in the BP4-ZZ series return 2011-2012 Toyotas, but one 2009 came up as well. I'd guess with 95% certainty that this would therefore be a 2011 model, but no way to be completely sure. -- Last edit: 2020-06-05 03:48:49 |

Z2 ![]() | Looks like 2007+ chrome handles, which would correspond to when the plate was issued (Jan 2010). | 2020-02-22 00:59 | ||
Z2 ![]() | Plate AE85WW returns: 1994 "GLX" (automatic). Also GLX models had the rear spoiler, which base GLi lacked. Note: early model GLX didn't have a CHMSL in the spoiler as seen here. I believe this was added in the October 1993 update. -- Last edit: 2020-07-07 21:04:55 |

electra225 ![]() | Thank you. I am wondering if Holden is still owned by GM or if it was sold to the PSA group as it happened to Opel and Vauxhall. |

MisterZ ![]() | Because they decided to use the Commodore name on an imported front-wheel-drive hatchback. It's an insult to the Commodore name, especially as there is also no longer a V8 option. Most Australians feel the same way, and sales are down 60% this year compared to the VF. Nothing wrong with the car itself, but they should have laid the Commodore name to rest and just gone with Insignia. EDIT: Yes, Holden is still owned by GM. EDIT 2: Holden announced in December 2019 that the Commodore is being discontinued in 2020 (as well as the Astra). -- Last edit: 2022-10-03 08:57:07 |

zodiac ![]() | By what is visible, it is very likely it's based on a 1968+ Mercedes-Benz 280 S or SE [W 108]. That is because of the one piece hub caps (introduced in January 1968) and the doors with aluminium only around the side windows, rather than the whole upper parts if being a 300 SEL [W 109]. /8 [W 114] and [W 115] looked very much different. The coach builder is probably American Motor Industries in Port Melbourne https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Motor_Industries which imported and assemblied Australian Mercedes-Benz for a while. While searching on the net, https://www.hotfrog.com.au/business/nsw/wahroonga/hamilton-funerals_2440172 and http://www.hamiltonfunerals.com.au/services/mourning-cars-and-hearses popped up. Apparently it's a 1968+ (havent found the exact year yet as they have more than one) Mercedes-Benz 280 SE [W 108], possibly coach built by AMI. |
