johnfromstaffs ![]() | Bentley MkVI Standard Steel Saloon. 1946-52, but I think it’s probably earlier rather than later. It is not a Royce Dawn. -- Last edit: 2023-07-02 08:40:15 |

Sunbar ![]() | ...so allowing them to bend history slightly by using a 1950s truck with a Chocolate-and-Cream GWR livery from at least the 1940s. Trying to be kind to them, its OK... However I would have preferred an earlier truck or a BR livery. |

johnfromstaffs ![]() | That is a Staffordshire plate, and the livery carried is presumably the SVR’s version of the GWR road vehicles’ appearance. LMR vehicles carried the “blood and custard” as per the Scammell, but a Staffordshire plate is not appropriate as the regional head office was in Watford iirc, so their vehicles carried Hertfordshire indices. -- Last edit: 2023-06-18 12:31:49 |

dsl ![]() | The real 572 UXR - a Ford E83W is alive and well. Here's an online pic of 572 UXR on the 1100 "Panda" .... and on a Minor 1000 panda ... and "The registration plate '572 UXR' is used on a black MGA in the following episode of Shakespeare and Hathaway: Private Investigators. You can clearly see it when the driver crashes it at around the 34-36 mins mark." - apparently S2.E8 |

dsl ![]() | We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided FORD NOT RECORDED 1953 Registration number: 572 UXR Body type: Light Van Colour: Green And Black Date of first registration: July 1953 I thought the plate looked familiar, but false lead. However 486 UXR on a real but colour-changing 1954 Minor Traveller is old friend. Car is Austin 1100 Mk2, unlike the Mk3 rarely seen as a genuine panda. |

dsl ![]() | Probably the 1961 CA Mk2 XRD 41 seen in Ridley Road and Small Axe (although was green in those sightings). Not the green CA Mk3 VYD 304G from The Royal and Heartbeat as thet has squared back of cab. Mix and match from here. | 2023-06-18 00:58

dsl ![]() | Agree - the flick from the wheel arch backwards is Hereford only, and grille looks Herefordy. Has been entered as 1953 - I wonder if it's NYE 631 - London, July 53 to Nov 54 "allocated in blocks". | 2023-06-18 00:46
