nzcarnerd NZSought further opinions on this one and it seems it is a 1935 Packard Eight, either Model 1201 or 1202. Body possibly European. 2016-07-13 03:33
DynaMike NLHaha! 2016-07-11 23:54
nzcarnerd NZI think it is one car. The windshield is very much 'veed'. I suspect the body might be European. You see the car is a Packard by the shape of the luggage rack in the close up. 2016-07-11 23:06
bob dieck BRDynamike, the small lights on the fenders made my guess. But looking to the seats, I think there is the pipe that was changed in 1950, so that it is another argument dor 48/49. I didn't know about the stone guards. 2016-07-11 15:06
50sParis NLIt is the Austin ;) 2016-07-11 14:18
andrepa DE1937 230 Lang Pullman-Limousine [W143] edit: no Diesel script in grille so no 260D but Taxi ?

DynaMike NLFor me no doubt this is a 1950+ Découvrable :) (one cannot see the front door because of the perspective, just like on the Austin A40 Devon)
Is there by any chance a better picture of the 5th car on the right, the light one next to the bicycles? It could be anything, maybe it's just something ordinary. But somehow it feels like one of the experimental taxi-prototypes from just after the war. But probably here again it is just a question of perspective...

DynaMike NLThe taxi at the front is a Renault as well, from 1932. Because of the cowl lights it must be a 6-cylindre version, so a Vivastella [Type PG5]. Not the first choice for a taxi, but I guess even in 1952 still anything that could be used was used. 2016-07-11 12:44
DynaMike NLThe car behind is a Renault indeed, a 1935/36 Vivaquatre Commerciale, the only version with its spare wheel mounted in the front fender.

DynaMike NLYes, but why 1950?
This grille came in April 1948 together with the new bigger hubcaps. 1950 models had different stone guards (with fine cross lines in a smooth frame) whereas the ones seen here look more like the plain stone guards with three stripes on it (thought the picture is not detailled enough to be sure). So I would go for a 1948/49 model.

bob dieck BR11 BL, I guess 1950. 2016-07-11 01:04
bob dieck BRCitroën 15, 1950.

DynaMike NLI'd go for the Devon. The rear window is too short for a Dorset, the pillar isn't really vertical, and (although a bit blurry) it looks like there are two door handles visible. It is just by the strange angle taht we cannot see the window of the front door.

DynaMike NL1948-50 Panhard Dyna [X] :) 2016-07-11 00:25
dsl SXOr an A40 Dorset??? 2016-07-10 23:39
nzcarnerd NZCould be Ford A, from the mouldings and visor. 2016-07-10 23:30
nzcarnerd NZThe big sedan behind the taxi has lots of hints of 1934 Buick but maybe it is really a big Renault?? The clue is that this car looks to have door hinges on the B pillar where the Buick hinges are at front and rear. 2016-07-10 23:28
nzcarnerd NZAustin A40 Devon. In the middle of the avenue, under the arch, looks to be a circa 1949-50 Chevrolet. 2016-07-10 23:25
nzcarnerd NZLooks distorted but maybe that is the movement - windscreen too shallow etc. Maybe try the frames before and after this one?? I am trying to decide whether this car has the extra weights on the ends of the bumpers which would define it as a big series Packard from pre 1936. 2016-07-10 23:23
electra225 IT...maybe a Packard ? 2016-07-10 22:58
electra225 ITI suspect Simca 7. 2016-07-10 22:57
electra225 IT1949 Buick (Super or Roadmaster depending on the number of the front fenders port holes, here not understandable). 2016-07-10 22:56
