johnfromStaffs ![]() | Mk VI - 5201 R type - 2320 The design was getting rather out of date by the time of the R-type, one of the problems being boot space, which caused the lengthening of the tail as a stop-gap. People expected to take their bags with them rather than have the valet take them by train. One of the parameters for the R-type boot was based on 4 sets of golf clubs and 3 suitcases.
