because most are listed as International (Harvester)

complicated history

Zitat McCormick died in Chicago, with his company passing on to his son, Cyrus McCormick, Jr. In 1902, the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and Deering Harvester Company, along with three smaller agricultural equipment firms (Milwaukee; Plano; and Warder, Bushnell, and Glessner (manufacturers of Champion brand)) merged together to create the International Harvester Company (IHC).

The McCormick-Deering tractors were renamed to just McCormick, which continued in Europe. In the USA, the tractors were later renamed International.

International Harvester sold off the Ag division in 1985 and later renamed the company. The Agricultural devision being bought by Tenneco, parent to J.I.Case, thus combining them to form Case IH tractor division and Case CE division for construction plant.

Case IH then decided to merge with Fiat's New Holland subsidiary to form CNH. This lead to the competition authorities in several countries ruling that for the merger to proceed they had to sell some production capacity in certain markets. The result was the Versatile factories in in Canada building high horse power machines were sold as the Steiger brand was retained. And in Europe the former International Harvester factory at Doncaster was sold along with some of the Case IH models built there and re branded as McCormick Tractors International Ltd owned by ARGO SpA of Italy, parent company of Landini.

DidierF FRIt's probably a FU-265 D made in France, à St-Dizier.

(When I posted the movie, I was not very good at correcting the "interlacing" or something I stumbled on, once in a while. Fortunately, now, I'm… not very good at it.)

dsl SX@elmer - 1960+ Anglia code summary:
997cc saloon Basic and Deluxe and 1962+ estate (only one trim level) - 105E RHD, 106E LHD
1198cc mainly 1962+ Super saloon, plus 1200 option versions of normal saloon and estate -123E RHD, 124E LHD
plus the vans were 307E RHD, 308E LHD - 1961-65 Thames 5cwt and 7cwt, renamed 1965-67 as Ford Anglia Van.

This estate is presumably LHD and 997cc so 106E is correct; it could be a rare 1200 option 124E but you need to find a small rear badge to prove it - /vehicle_655488-Ford-Anglia-Estate-1200-123E-1966.html

eLMeR MHThe movie needs to be deinterlaced to have not too bad pics, when cars are moving... But I'm afraid there is nothing more to do for the tractor.

eLMeR MHIn the movie, it's supposed to be the same car as the other 2cv...
The "not other" has this rear end:
(01:19:14 // Sorry, no better picture...)
The plate numbers seem not to match: I read a 9XX(X?) F? 75 on the "stuck on the roof" one, while it seems to be 389(X?) FV 78 on the "still on the road" one.

1956: 1000 ES 75 to 3190 FS 75
1957: 3191 FS 75 to 122 GS 75

1964: 1298 FF 78 to 4827 FV 78
1965: 4828 FV 78 to 425 GH 78
=> the 78 car changed department in 1964 or 1965, so the plate cannot help identify its model year...

eLMeR MHFurther reading helps, sometimes. Some lines below, on the ford Anglia model designation page:
"The designation 307E covered all 997cc 5cwt and 7cwt Vans from 1961 to 1967 Inclusive.
[...]
The designation 308E was given to Left Hand Drive Export models of the 307E".

So shouldn't this car have a [308E] identification?

eLMeR MHTo French readers: The March 2014 issue of the Gazoline magazine has a 9 pages file on the 1960-1967 Ford Anglia.

For Ford Anglia non-experts (including me :D ):
- According to Ford Anglia 105E Owners' Club:"The designation 106E was given to Left Hand Drive Export models of the 105E"
- In the estate page of the same website, it is also written that "Ford officially released the Ford Anglia 105E Estate in September 1961".
Therefore the 1962 model year...

Well, you know, with these people in cinema, you don't really know.
Maybe the one on the main pic was a wreck already…
And how would they have known that the movie continuity would be discussed decades later by some crazy buffs on a website?

DynaMike NLClignotants came already on the 1955 models, but the big rear window was new for 1957. And the 1958 models had the rear license plate placed in the centre, not to the left.
