Ralph DER26 or R27, no twin 2010-02-27 00:45
brotherjack FRno, swinging front and rear of the R26 or 27, or R50 or R60
with the news papers dispatch sidecar who contains from 200 to 300 kgs I think a twin is needed!
so R50 or mainly R60 where used

transexl DEAlmost certainly a BMW R25/2 or/3 - so it is a single.

jaap NLAs a Missile owner, I can confirm that you're absolutely right! It has this high rear plastic window, that doesn't fit too well with the back part... The look much better with the roof down! There were 300 built, so I'm surprised to see em in TWO movies! How are things goin', DynaMike? 2008-09-16 00:40
sixcyl FRNo rubber on the bumpers, the main pic can't be a 63 model, the rims as well let think about earlier DS model. I think it's a 1960 model.

der.krusche ATthe taillight says bmw, hm? is there a single cylinder beneath the tank? the machine seems to be slim.

DynaMike NLBy the dashboard (visible in the first thumbnail) one can tell that this is a 1963 model. 2008-08-16 13:44

antp BEI think it is better to keep the C-code as chassis code for these, it allows to do a search on it more easily. 2008-08-16 01:51
DynaMike NLNice to see (even though it's too background) the Austin/Morris Pininfarina Estate as Parisian taxi... Most probably a Diesel version. 2008-08-15 18:09
coopey ESthen the C1 code which tells the generation becomes a "Mk1" like? 2008-08-15 17:41
DynaMike NLMerci, Jean-Marc! Difficult to be sure of the date, just by the colour in a black-and-white film... Light colours were available from the very beginning. And not many details are visible in this picture. But there seems to be a covered joint in the A-pillar, indicating it's still a tout-alu, all aluminium body. Since September 1955 the body was made of steel, and this joint was somewhat smooth. Also the strips on the bonnet and next to the boot lid were painted since that date - here they still seem to be shiny. The extra security lock in the door (the dark dot on the inside) was introduced in January 1955. So this will be a 1955 Dyna 55 Luxe Spécial [Z1]. 2008-08-15 12:44
DynaMike NLSlightly newer than 1953... The vertical headlights and the convex deco on the door (see the first thumbnail) make this a 1956 or 1957 model [2934]. 2008-08-15 12:13

sixcyl FRYes Mike, You've conviced me , it is indeed the René Bonnet Missile 1963 ...unfortunately , you'll have to wait another film for Panhard powered sportscar 2008-08-15 09:42
DynaMike NLVery nice find, Jean-Marc! I'd luve to see here a Pnhard-engined sportscar, but I'm not really sure this is a DB LeMans... Somehow the rear wheel arch seems to be too high, and therefore I think it's more likely to be a 1963 (so brandnew) René Bonnet Missile; that would be the second on the site :/ ( /vehicle_92053-Rene-Bonnet-Missile-1963.html ) 2008-08-15 00:40
