Bø-Viks ![]() | It has an Arna body made just a few kilometers from where this scene is shot in Bergen Norway. | 2012-05-25 23:59
Bø-Viks ![]() | I know its an Repstad body, I think its built on a Scania Vabis around 1965 and the operator is HSD. | 2012-05-25 23:49
Bø-Viks ![]() | MB and Arna for sure, but I think its a OP312 from 1966 or 67 delivered to Arna Osterøy Billag. -- Last edit: 2012-05-25 23:35:44 |

zodiac ![]() | Here're a few more buses with the above mentioned Arna badge; http://www.rhf.no/images/bevarte/L-1090NSBsvb.jpg (a 1967 Volvo B57), http://www.rhf.no/images/bevarte/O-4051.JPG (a 1964 Scania-Vabis B56), http://www.rhf.no/images/bevarte/SN24558BNRsvb.JPG (a 1972 Volvo B57) and http://www.rhf.no/images/bevarte/T-1047ny.jpg (a 1967 Scania-Vabis B56). | 2012-05-16 00:09
zodiac ![]() | Here's another Repstad bus http://www.rhf.no/images/bevarte/b-16057.jpg (from 1963). What I'm trying to say is that the badge in the middle of the grill is almost only used by Repstad. The only other possibility, as far as I know, is Torstein Alstad in Eidsvåg http://www.rhf.no/lister/karosseribyggere/torsteinalstad.htm which built 10 bodies in collaboration with Repstad. And another one http://rhf.no/images/bevarte/E-15509ADsvb.jpg (from 1965). -- Last edit: 2012-05-15 23:49:29 |

zodiac ![]() | According to this page, this is an Arna Busser AS, Arna at Bergen (1947-97) badge http://www.omnibuss.se/forum/index.php?topic=10373.0 . Mercedes-Benz was rather rare up in the north, and consequently only a handful was built by each coach builder. According to this very interesting page http://www.rhf.no/karosserier.asp only nine (9) reasonably big Mercedes was bodied years 1966-70 built on chassies LP 1113 (three of them), LPO 1113 (one), OH 1113 (one), OH 1313 (two) and OF 1317 (two). Also stated on that page was what company the buses were delivered to, and when trying to match I've come down to the conclusion that Moldskreds Rutebiler and Eksingedalsruta are the more likely, colourwise. Therefore, slightly worried, I state that this is either of: - Mercedes-Benz LP 1113 with chassis number 805 registered as R-1241 delivered to Eksingedalsruta 19/7 1968. - Mercedes-Benz OH 1113 with chassis number 811 delivered to Moldskreds Rutebiler 21/4 1969. Please comment on the likelyhood. -- Last edit: 2012-04-26 13:21:35 |

zodiac ![]() | With this centre badge in the grill, it could be a body by Brøderne Repstad AS, Søgne (1925-90), like this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/36081480@N08/4256434856/ . What the chassis is is a completely different question; Volvo Svania-Vabis, DAF, Mercedes, Leyland... |

rjluna2 ![]() | I don't see the V8 badge at the front of the front fender making this the model 1569. I think I see the repeater at the front fender in between the wheel and the front door. ![]() Also, the mirror are at the front fenders as well ![]() |

ingo ![]() | Something British, my guess. Or something Japanese? In Norway they appeared much earlier than in the rest of Europe. | 2012-04-25 23:42
