dhill_cb7 USIt is possibly they cut to another vehicle for the glovebox shot. 2022-12-17 08:44
Mikebear79 USOk, rewatched it again. It’s definitely a ‘96 model, as that year is the only r129 year to have that style of rear view mirror with the infrared sensor attached to the bottom of it. Hence why I was confused about the deletion of the LEDs and sensor by the trunk button. It was re added in ‘97 and the infrared sensor on the mirror was deleted. The glove box is still a mystery tho. 2022-12-17 08:30
Kartkidbut USBut the fact is that this film started filmed on July 8, 1996, to October 18, 1996. So, it's impossible for it to be somehow a 1998 model. Unless It's pre-production....

or I may be wrong. I don't know for sure.

Mikebear79 USI noticed two odd things: The first is that this car is missing the rectangle infrared sensors and LEDs (one should be below the round lock button for the trunk) which would mean that this car was somehow a 98 model when they switched to radio frequency and did away with the three sensors on the outside. Also, how did he have a bunch of parking tickets in the glove box when none of the r129s had glove boxes? Maybe a shot of a w140 specifically for that scene? 2022-12-04 06:06

Baube QCbut the thing is back then the Lexus counterpart was different from the Camry .. ES 300 was based on it but had enough differences not to be mistaken for one , unlike Legend , Integra or Inspire

Strange and Rare as hell.

Not too strange. Being from the import tuning world this happens quite often. A lot of Honda guys take their Acura badged counterparts and add Honda badging because worldwide they are known as Honda. This happened a lot with the Legend. I few guys I used to join up at meets in the mid-late 2000s had Legends with Honda badging because elsewhere they were Honda Legend and not Acura Legend.

Also, this could be the guy wanted his Camry to be badged as the JDM Lexus counterpart ? Who knows. It does happen though.

atom SEIt has the older recessed window. Seems to also have the older chromed rear hatch handle as well as missing lower valance. This in combination with the new type of bumpers would make it a 1983-1985 GL or possibly a 1984-1985 DL. 2022-01-06 10:23

Could be a 1996 E-Super Duty but I don’t think so.

cieraguy a écrit 1995-1997 I think those were the years that the Cirrus/Stratus/Breese had those strips

Little late but to clear this up. Dodge Stratus had red reflector 1995-1996. Chrysler Cirrus had the silver reflector seen above in 1995-1996. Plymouth had a silver strip but only for 1996 as there was no 1995 breeze.

foxontherun a écrit This is a heavily modified NMC Wollard stair truck. It can be identified by the steel structure under the stairs.

The drivers actual position is on the passenger side in the middle of the frame under a small hood to cover his head.

More then likely this was the standard TMPS-200 ford f-350 model.

Looks like it was changed A LOT , such as the ford body removed , wide low profile tires , and the stairs have had a lot of weight removed.

I think this does indeed seem MADE FOR MOVIE
