dhill_cb7 ![]() | 1993 built models are considered 1994s according to MB. Suspension looks rather low (Esprit was lower and aimed toward younger folk). Might be an Esprit or Classic unless the color wasn’t offered for both trims. |

ingo ![]() | HPE should be correct. I cannot remember, that the term "Executive" was used for this car. Wiki also says HPE: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancia_Beta#Spider_und_HPE | 2011-08-26 13:57
blue_thunder ![]() | as it is a Taxi, could be E 250 Turbodiesel, E250 Diesel, E 300 Turbodiesel, E 300 Diesel. -- Last edit: 2011-08-26 10:14:19 |

blue_thunder ![]() | this one is a post facelift '93+ MY, due to clear turnign signals, all colour keyed bumpers (pre '93 MY had colour keyed bumpers as well, but the moulding was black) and the rims. | 2011-08-26 09:45
dsl ![]() | 1979+ for S3. | 2011-08-26 00:52
dsl ![]() | I always think of these as just HPE (of which we only have 1) instead of H.P.Executive (5 including this one). Did the name vary between markets, or can we just lump them all together under one name? Am fairly sure HPE was the only name used in UK. | 2011-08-26 00:51

ingo ![]() | Left a VW Jetta I. Quite rare sight, even back in 1996, especially in the East. | 2011-08-25 23:43
ingo ![]() | In the background a Fiat Ducato Camper. No idea about the coachbuilder. In Germany the Ducato was/still is the most popular basic chassis for Camper-converters. | 2011-08-25 23:42

ingo ![]() | Rather unlikely, as it's a scene from East Germany. On the local classic-car-meetings there are still mostly COMECON-made cars (and it's a movie from 1996). There are not too many West Germans with their Western cars going there, so why should someone from Belgium going there? I think, it's just a Belgian tourist on a Berlin-trip with his all-day-classic-car. Even nowadays you see many ID/DS in the BeNeLux-countries, even in daily use. |

ingo ![]() | That ones, which were not taken back by the Red Army were sold to private customers. But most of them have sold them again very soon, especially to the export - after they had recognized the fuel-consumption... I remember, that some of them were standing around at some dealer's-backlots in the mid-90ies, also in Western Germany. But nowadays you cannot see them any more on German roads, not even at classic car- or classic truck-meetings. Totally different, compared with old DDR-Volksarmee-trucks or vehicles of the Western German Bundeswehr. |
2010-11-30 22:03 | ||
3loader ![]() | Ural 375 D. What happened with them after 1994? |
2010-11-30 21:46 | ||
ingo ![]() | As it's a taxi, surely no brassy thirsty 300 TE, rather a 240 TD. | 2010-11-30 21:42
ingo ![]() | Lada Nova, not VAZ Shiguli, as it was filmed in Germany. The plates are badly faked and not original Russian.O.k., it's probably rather a Lada 2105, a former DDR-car. It was called Lada Nova only in West Germany. Btw.: isn't the Soviet military truck in the background worth to list? Obviously a leftover from the Red Army, stationated in the DDR until 1994. |
2010-11-30 21:40 | ||
ingo ![]() | Unoriginal colour. Obviously a rolling wreck, see how doors and fender are sitting. It's not too presumptuously to call it a "Spachtelbomber" | 2010-11-30 21:35
ingo ![]() | An Opel Astra F between them. In the foreground a Mercedes [S124] and a Lada 1600. |

ingo ![]() | It has Belgian plates, at it's seems. So a Belgian tourist on shopping-tour in the Ostzone http://www.havelpark-dallgow.eu/index.php?id=2441 (err, *cough* sorry, the "five new countries", as it's pleased to be said ) |

ingo ![]() | 1974+ bumpers | 2010-11-30 21:22
ingo ![]() | Is the Citroen DS Break worth to list? I think, so, as it's a scene from 1996 and from Berlin. Next to it a VW 1303 Cabriolet. Also visible Jeep CJ (not very usual in Germany). Oough, in the background a pink-metallic Suzuki Samurai for tonkaTRACKER And an Audi 100 avant [Typ44] for walter! And a cl82-Polo! And a four-door Opel Corsa B for our Argentinian/Brazilian squabblers... |
2010-11-30 21:21 | ||
ingo ![]() | The plate -if original- identifies it as a 1995-version. Only in 1994/95, the time, when these new "Euro"-style-plates were introduced in Germany, there was this hyphen on plates, and only in Berlin, Potsdam and around there. | 2010-11-30 21:14
ingo ![]() | colour manilagrün. Unoriginal plastic-hubcaps (some VOTEX-aftersales-market-stuff). As it has hubcap-holders in the rims, it seems to be GLS-trim. Or only GL? It's no chrom-trim on the wheel-arches. -- Last edit: 2010-11-30 21:10:11 |

Stephan735i ![]() | Thats a Arktisgrau metallic color code 269 Executive equipped 4 or 6cyl E34. It's NOT a 540i for sure, no brake ducts. | 2010-09-20 01:47
