| tore-40 | In general, both this and /vehicle.php?id=1689088 were excellent as taxis back then, based on personal experience, with or without the taxi package. The taxi package was mainly provided by Volvo or Mercedes-Benz, usually including but not limited to washable interior, beefier, often higher suspension, some special wiring and elctrics, and doors that would open wider. But the taxi owner was - and is - free to choose models. For this 320 it came with high-capacity battery and dynamo, making it suitable for a taxi. Else, with a lowered suspension... It has no meter, I think Bergen had gone digital by then, not even a display showing the price with a control unit fitted seperately. And for the uniform.... |

| Lateef | Yes, it was called Stasjonsvogn, funnily enough in Norway Variant refers to the VW Typ 3, and not just the Variant but the non-Variants as well. To me, at least, it seems like a Sisyphus-like task to change all currently listed Norwegian VWs, knowing I have added like 90 % of them personally and knowing that we're talking about hundreds, if not in the ballpark of 1000 entries that need correcting.
